I am not a climber, just someone who uses wagon rope to secure trailer loads but I am hopeless at coiling it up after use.  I always end up spending ages sorting out knots and kinks.

What are your best methods?  Any of the above?

A butterfly but silightly different from video, I go from one end and in my hand not round my neck, just in case the rope found that “dog egg” that the customer missed last thing I want is that on my collar following me round all day
