Whose nose can he pick then ?

I heard his bladder finally exploded after his piss boiled one time too many ;-)

Seriously tho I'm sad t see him go as he has sound forestry knowledge t share.

Same mate, and I agree with your original comment Al.

I have had some good crack and good advice from John over the years.

He was cantankerous and a stump pedant, but forestry will do that to a man!

I think The Arbtalk Arms is a poorer pub without him.

I've only talked to him once when I rang him for some advice. I must of bent his ear for at least an hour but he didn't mind. He seems the type who is only too pleased to help
