I wanted to use them but was told by health safety manager that high risk of infection due to type of work we do once you get them out its hard to keep them clean etc👎🏼some good war plugs with better protection rates out there✌🏽

Hi guys, so ear defenders are rated at between 27 and 31db, am I better off using ear plugs?

ear defenders can be higher than that.

i use peltor optime III that are rated at 35db. i've also gone with more padding in the ear dome (took it out of my old set of peltor optime III) so they must be near 40db now.
