Ever been to a clairvoyant?

My local city has a clairvoyant that is meant to be brilliant. I've seen her on the telly and seen some good internet reviews of her. I've passed her "shop" a few times and it's always been really busy.

I passed her shop today and it was quiet. I took the opportunity to get a reading and it was.... Rubbish.... I could not relate to 90% of what she told me, the 10% that did relate was really vague :(

*sigh* that's £30 I'll never get back.

There have been occurrences in my life where things have happened that were a bit spooky, but this certainly wasn't one of them :(

Yeah I've been. Roped in to accompany a lady friend who'd been several times before. I knew better, as I'm actually clearvoyant myself (we all are, if we just trust our intuition)...60 euros for a 1 hour session. Figured I'd better get my money's worth and asked her a load of questions about my past life relationships with people I know! Turns out I was an African slave (on a slave boat) with a neighbour of mine. I asked her if I had any connection with the Roman Catholic Church in a past life, and she told me I had actually been a Bishop! (Que air-punch) It was a wild ride, but all in all nothing of any substance. My own experiments with the occult have yielded actual concrete facts, so I think I might be a few levels above her.....

A guy I used to know, his girlfriend used to advertise her services. Tarot card readings, palmistry. Clairvoyance etc...

vagueness and confusion were the order of the day.

She genuinely believed in her "powers" but she still spent the money on smack though.

Felt sorry for her customers. Many of them were recently bereaved people trying to reach their dead loved ones.

never been and would never go.

if it was done knowingly in jest then i'm sure it would be entertaining to see one on stage but it's the fact that they take themselves so seriously that strikes me as odd. i'm surprised in this day and age that someone can have a shop and a business being one as to me it seems like legal fraud.

My sister in law went to see a clairvoyant a few years back, I told her she was wasting her time and money and that I'd do a better job...

I do, or should I say did once believe I had certain intuitive abilities, so I thought I'd try my hand at doin a cold reading of sorts..

So, I closed my mind, hoped images might appear so I might attempt to interpret them in some regards to her recently deceased father..

Well, all I got was my friends dad filling my mind.. fella called Joe.. well what to make of this I says to myself, was her father gay and and he wants me to pass on a message to a hidden lover?..

What to make of Joe?..

So I sort of gave up an started on another topic, I obviously knew nothing about being a psychic..

Anyways, I'm just about to leave but I have to satisfy my curiosity, Who's this Joe I said.

Deathly quiet fills the room.. Thats my mums name.. Well I didn't know were to put my face.. I'd no idea her mother was called Joe, I mean, why would I?.. what woman's called Joe?..

Never tried it since lest I really embarrass myself..
