Aldi soft shell cycling jacket if my fav new jacket atm.

I Also have several custom made to measure brennig pile "javelin type" jackets that are lasting forever. You tell them measurements & they  tailor them to fit,  hand made in UK.

What was your reasoning behind that particular jacket? They do so many!

It is Hi Vis.  I use it for tree work.  I live and work in Norway.  It can rain pretty hard here, hence the choice.  I fancied being visible and dry whilst at work.

@Rich Rule  Many years on how was this jacket? Still going? worth the purchase?

Definitely still worth it.

i reproof it whenever it gets gunked up but the only place it leaks is where I put a silky into the left arm.  Patched it up now though.

It was pretty cheap when I got it.  I know @Mark Bolam bought one recently and got a bit of a shock.

They do stock them and sell them in the UK now though.

I’m really pleased I belatedly took your advice and got one Rich.

Brilliant bit of kit that actually keeps you dry when the weather is really vile.

I tried to be a smartarse and order one cheaply from NZ.

It arrived within 4 days, but I got clobbered with import tax, making it more expensive than if I’d bought in the UK!

FedEx paid my last lot of duty and VAT for me. They calculated it wrong, I told them, we went in circles, I decided to just ignore them. Problem seems solved. I’ll report back in five and a half years.
