Tacho exempt or not its still worth putting them in, tacho`s can in some cases save you loads of grief. A guy in a truck had a head on crash down a country lane, everyone was kicking off about speeding trucks, tacho proved he never went over 15mph down the lane, case dismissed.

Found a big leather wallet a few years ago to keep the tacho`s and all my other cards in , save`s having to remember tacho history when jumping in and out of other trucks.

What sort of carry capacity would the 50c do ?? I've seen them with boxes & that took up to much chip space thanks

The 50c doesn't seem that big ,

No the 5 tonners are damn near same as the 35 the 6-6.5t have a bigger chassis, suspension and wheels etc the 6.5t is the one to go for

I used to run an Iveco Daily 6.5 tonner it had a 3 tonne legal payload a 2.8 turbo diesel 150 bhp and would pull off easy in 2nd gear loaded, massive train weight

I find the £5 for 100 taco discs so prohibitive that's nearly £10 a year, it's a tax on the working man

Here's a question relating to this exemption... would removing the Arb arisings of chip and logs still be covered by this or would their transportation or haulage mean that we needed to run with a tachometer? If so, how could we get this in writing?

If anyone uses this exemption and knows for a fact that it covers domestic Arb I'd be really grateful to hear about it.
