Tacho exempt or not its still worth putting them in, tacho`s can in some cases save you loads of grief. A guy in a truck had a head on crash down a country lane, everyone was kicking off about speeding trucks, tacho proved he never went over 15mph down the lane, case dismissed.

Found a big leather wallet a few years ago to keep the tacho`s and all my other cards in , save`s having to remember tacho history when jumping in and out of other trucks.

So 6.5t truck and a 1t chipper or down rate to 6t and a 1.5t chipper

 

 

Here's a question relating to this exemption... would removing the Arb arisings of chip and logs still be covered by this or would their transportation or haulage mean that we needed to run with a tachometer? If so, how could we get this in writing?

If anyone uses this exemption and knows for a fact that it covers domestic Arb I'd be really grateful to hear about it.
