There's a merc amg v8 diesel near me sounds great.

I'm going with the 7 litre Shelby Cobra .

 

Hard to beat that:thumbup1: round about 800bhp. 170 odd mph and in the 1960s as well. word is that one was clocked doing about 180mph on the m1 when there wasn't a speed limit, which is why they introduced the 70 limit. Also my 1977 ap50 with no baffles:laugh1:

I'm with TCD - some of the heavy duty trawler engines sound sweet as a nut when tickled - my fav is/are probably the larger gardner units

Quite the opposite the best sounding engine is one of the ones I own that's working and earning money without and funny noises or smoke!
