I know that one all too well. It can be the case that there's a reason why depression hits harder when things are seemingly going well. Have you thought about finding a therapist to talk with, you may have to try a couple before you find one that works or you might get lucky first time. You'll have to go private as waiting lists are joke for NHS treatment.
Keep going though, there's always light at the end of the tunnel no matter how long and dark it may seem.
Get in touch anytime you like mate.

Thank ya, it’s one of them mate. It will come well again.

And so it carries on, All is good but the depression gets the better of me, is it the stress of buying a place I can’t cope with? I really don’t know.

Reading insulting posts all the time from certain people never helps keep the chin up eggs. Buying a house is stressful for most people and the way mortgage rates keep going up is nuts all i seem to hear on the radio or in the news.

.I know when yout down you don't feel like doing anything but exercise  is suppose to help as much as any other thing.

With a manual job you probably get plenty  already but somehow its not the same as "leisure exercise" outside work.

Sometimes you can go through a stressful period and survive it but when the stress is removed....like completion and moving in to the new house, the fact it is over can change your mental status quo which was highly strung and stressed.

Try getting some house projects going...new shed, decorating, veggie patch, new kitchen/bathroom and you will find the design, planning and doing will stop your brain from stressing.

Other than that, get in to your head the reasons you should be happy with your lot rather than dwelling on the shyte...be a half glass full kind of guy rather than the other type.

I’m on it spud, I’ve got the paint and brushes/rollers to do the living room, I’ve also applied for an allotment which I should get this weekend. This will not beat me.

I hear ya, as well as working I do a lot of walking and cycling. I’ve moved to a place next to the cut I enjoy using. It’ll pass, stere.

I’ve just caught up with this thread - where did Samantha go? Hopefully she’s all good, seems a very caring soul.

Eggs - where are you now? I know you were living fairly close to me (Nantwich) - if still in the parish and you fancy a pint give me a shout any time, I’m always looking for an excuse to escape to a nice pub and talk shit!
