That was my thought.

 

Thats how the BBC ended up serving malware although the attack was dileraberate, they just bought advertising space & slung malware from the ads.

 

Its possible an advertiser could submit a vulnerable script in their ads & be unaware of the exploit.

 

Anyone got a URL for the malware yet, or does it vary?

3rd party adverts perhaps?

 

That's the only thing I can think of, but as far as I know it would need ads to be using Flash. Which I don't think any of them are. There may be other ways I guess, but it's not something I know very much about.

I've just had it happen to me, with a voice over from a woman?

 

Can you (& anyone else experiencing this) post a bit more detail such as:

 

Web browser used

URL of page on arbtalk viewed

screen dump of popup

anyhting else of relevance
