So now you believe all immigrants are in low income employment..

What about the 30% of NHS doctors who are non nationals..or the others who have skilled jobs-managers,web designers, architects etc

Your opinion seems to be formed on the assumption thats all immigrants are either benefit scroungers or minimum wage earners which simply isnt the case

Only something like the highest paid 20% of households pay more tax than they receive front the government. I think most people here would agree that EU migrants are concentrated in low wage jobs like farming/ service industry and shops etc....

Do you agree that someone on minimum wage will only pay about £1300 a year in income tax and national insurance? Say they work 40 years in the UK and then retire here. That means they pay about £40k in tax/ NI in their working life and then get a state pension of £7k a year for say 20 years. Even ignore schools/ NHS/ transport/ other benefits it's fairly clear most migrants are a drain to the taxpayer.

If the migrants are such a drain, how come we are the most successful country in the union?

Because those in Britain who work, work hard. They are the ones who make Britain a success, If we could get a handle on the benefits culture we would be even more successful, to the point where leaving the EU wouldn't be an economical issue.

Or maybe the migrants come here because we are successful....

Again, if you think migrants are good for an economy should we not be charitable and send them to poor countries? Greece and Spain are in the economic doldrums, do you think they'd be happy if we sent all our migrants to them?

Can't wait to see how the 2 by-elections go, and then read Vesp's analysis!

Predictions....? As we've seen before, the bookies are normally pretty good, better than the papers / parties in any case (no point to prove, just money talking!)

No trade negotiations until after leaving the EU? Maybe not until after Art 50 is issued but why on earth would anyone go into negotiations (leaving EU) without a few cards up their sleeve?

agreed! if migrants are good for the economy why do they come from countries with poor economies? If they couldn't help their own economies how will they help ours? Yes some will help but I fear their contribution will be undone by the strain of those who are a burden to our economy.

Its going to be hard to call in both seats... easier to predict Stoke on Trent, in that no ones gonna vote for a scouser....

The remain vote don't know where to go at present, libs are nowhere in these constituencies and the Brexit votes gonna be split two ways....

If I was a betting man, I'd go for Labour holding both seats by the skin of their teeth....Just.....
