I agree that the numbers coming in is putting pressure on housing, schools and the NHS but their contributions to the tax revenue pays for any medical care and NHS and schooling.

Someone on minimum wage will earn about £14,000 a year and pay circa £1300 a year in income tax and national insurance. That's no way enough to pay for NHS/ benefits/ schooling etc.

The NHS itself costs on average £2,000 a person a year......

The vast bulk of migrants are a drain to the UK.....

You have swallowed the bile spewed by the leave campaign blaming all our woes on immigration, indeed if that were to be believed we would simpley close our borders, eject all johnny foreigners and hey ho britain would be great again.

I at least have come to my own conclusions and beliefs by researching the data produced by studies, not listening to bufoons like nigel farrage and boris johnston who have time and time again been caught out peddling there lies and inaccuracies to hoodwink the british public and further there right wing agenda.

I begrudgingly admire the gusto with which you argue your case but in time you and many others will realise your wrong beleiving brexit is a positive step for our country.

You don't think migration has an impact on the ability of British people to get council houses. Why should anyone listen to your opinion when your grasp on realty is flawed?

How did we ever manage previous to the last 40 years.

Because we never relied on an internet awash with unconfirmed or unauthenticated drivel and the press back then were not trying to sensationalise every snippet of information in an attempt to boost sales.

My opinion is formed on research and statistical data, what is yours formed on ?

You've believed the hyped up lies from farrage and bojo.

You have yet to produce and kind of literature that backs up your claims

Oh and the daily mail and katie hopkins doesnt count

So for all the problems with schools/NHS/welfare etc. (which are essentially to do with lack of funding) we are to blame the very poorest people in our society?

Where do the people with LOTS of money come into this?

And which group do you think Farage/Aron banks/Rupert Murdoch (and all the other people telling you to hate migrants) represent?

"the vast bulk of migrants are a drain to the UK". Are you sure about that?!

So now you believe all immigrants are in low income employment..

What about the 30% of NHS doctors who are non nationals..or the others who have skilled jobs-managers,web designers, architects etc

Your opinion seems to be formed on the assumption thats all immigrants are either benefit scroungers or minimum wage earners which simply isnt the case

I was just musing on Labour's policy of encouraging migrants to settle here on account of it mean't more chance of them staying in power... look at the muppets now.. A Shambles....

Be careful what you wish for springs to mind........

Hey people, how about this, Europe closes its borders to economic migration from outside of the EU and we all can rest easy, and get on with things that matter....

A win win situation for us all, the Brexiteers who complain about migrants, and the remainers who want to see Europe succeed...

Being in a position to pick and choose who gets in would then make a stronger Britain. If your going to be a drain on the economy you can't get in, if you have something beneficial to offer then you do. Sounds unfair but that's the policy other countries around the world use. Not all imigrants are a drain on Britain, but there are many benefit tourists here putting extra pressure on the NHS, Housing, Welfare etc. And yes there are many more home grown citizens doing the same, unfortunately being UK citizens we can't do anything about them, we can however do something about non UK nationals draining Britain.
