Looks better since I resprayed the gray flaky mesh on bonnet black.

Just need some guarding round that nose now.

Might have to ask this in a different thred but anyone know what the score is with the winch covering the front lights.

I can flip the headlights off at the nose and over to cab top ones with a dash switch but now do I need some sort of marker lights, say magnetic ones on front of winch?

Looking good, really pleased it worked out for you.:thumbup1:

Eddie.

Thanks Eddie, good call talking to Andy, he was spot on helpful at killworth about the hydraulics.

What speed does that motor spin? Do you still have decent line speed? Will it stall/blow off?

I'm assuming it's a similar motor to the one Eddie set up, but an excavator runs at higher pressures than your tractor I think.

It's not as fast as the pto at back as I run that in 1000

At tickover it's slow but increase rpm to around 1600 and it's around a walking speed so respectable enough to pull a tree over or a few bits within reach as the slower line speed is easily made up for in the time saved having to take the botex off and swap round but like I said if I was on a lot of skidding work I'd swap it onto the back shaft.

New addition to the winch was sent out by farmi yesterday

A self releasing snack block to redirect the winch line.

Should be very useful in the windblown sites we are working as getting a direct line pull has been proving impossible to get big leader's down. b6ab4c349b591264819fe0c55e3f13f0.jpgec9749b191c523a45d10295b690a0b77.jpg6e100e645c8ac3d4ae8a0cc68e3f2d6c.jpg

Hopefully get some video over the next week or so.
