Personally I can't stand that rustic looking "furniture"

Mick, keep in mind no one, especially the person who might buy it, cares what you think, in fact, your opinion is of so little significance in the whole scheme of things it's registers 0 on the 0 - 10 scale of interesting opinions, 10 being the most interesting.

Things could be made from this tree ..... however there are many more intereting / difficult logs available that would be far more worth while investing time and money in to .. personally I have never seen or heard of any thing made from Lawsons cypress , it is rather bland and I have always considered it one of the least desirable timbers I have come across .. although it is very light weight when dry so may suit some applications ..... I believe arrows are made from it ...

Jeez...what a can of worms I've opened up. Just trying to find a good home for a tree that is pretty old and deserves better than being turned into logs. Why does everything have to always revolve around making a profit? I'm quite tempted to keep the stick now and turn it into something that might get past on to my kids and their kids and so on. Maybe it might cost me a couple hundred quid and some time but who cares. I'll post some pics in about a years time when it's done

Don't loose heart! Time has much greater value than money and there never seems to be enough time to do the things that please us!!

? Have you read the thread through? I've said a few times that I don't need any money from this, but if i get some then great. Why do you feel the need to pick holes or try to catch me out?

If anyone really wants it then pm me, it's getting boring having to justify everything to people who aren't even interested so I'm making an exit!
