Too me tickets are only part of it.If someone is a great worker with a genuine interest in arboriculture id pay them more than a person with the relevant groundie tickets but doesnt give a toss about pulling his weight or furthering themselves.

 

 

I like your style i believe the harder you work and have more dedication to the company the further you will go and therefore worth more money along with the tickets u have within reason. If that makes sense

I reckon things need to be in perspective. ... How are blokes who can do aerial rescue if required, are competent on the ground and can use a saw legally not be worth £100 a day?... I think it's time to get real on this.

 

£100 a day is over £26,000 a year. Which is about the salary of a Nurse. Their training cost rather more then 2 weeks and £1000..

What would you think it cost a company to pay a lad 80/day on the cards?

 

Rough estimates£23,500

About £22,000 including National Insurance contributions.

Plus £500 odd in PPE, maybe another £1000 training

 

He would have to be charged out at at over £100 to break even, plus VAT.
