Anyone know where i stand with this?

Transit plated at 2250kg train weight but says 2800 on logbook....

Im up at 2250 quite a lot, was wondering which i should go by as 2800 would give more scope for a bigger chipper.

Cheers

????? Gross train weight of 2250??

Sounds quite light for vehicle, load, trailer and load

Do you mean the towing weight/allowance?

Was thinking the same, the transits we have are 3.5t gross with a 5.750t train weight . Chris might be on about a single wheel transit or a connect.

As above, towing a bigger trailer means you lose weight off the gvw. The max towing weight is just a manufacturer recommendation, theoretically you could tow a 3.5 tonne trailer as long as you kept the vehicle weight at 2250kg, but I wouldn't recommend it and neither do Ford.
