nice job, unfortunately i'd have trouble selling "slow and old fashioned" with a van full of petrol engine cutters and charging by the hour, customer might think i'm taking the p**s:blushing:

Fair play, some small jobs are worth going back to hand tools,i find laurel a pain in the ass to cut with hedge cutters, ive got a nice pair of corona hedge shears that come out of the van now and then

One customer I used to work for had an ornamental pear. Wouldn't allow power tools near and and had me take off the new growth every year with secateurs. Pretty sure I'd have had it looking the same in 5 minutes with a hedge cutter tbh

No trimmers. Loving these therapeutic Japanese tools. A joy to work with. I love the way it slows down your workflow and you can take great pride of doing a proper job. The crispness of the cuts is something you can't get from trimmers.

Well i ordered a whole load stuff some  okatsune sceatuers  and some rdm other garden tool bits and bobs from amazon jp and it came without any issues or hidden import tarrif, was fairly  steep postage but still  cheaper than uk.

Quality of theese hedge shears for example compared to any UK brand stuff or fiskars plastic fantastic is in a completely different league.

And even theese cheapo ones are very good:

Goes through 1/2 inch hornbeam hedge branches easy. A clever curved "strong type" blade design no one sells in UK.
