What 4x4 tyres

My two pennyworth.

Had general Grabbers AT's a few times but found sidewalls a bit weak and they dont like lakeland slate...... )-: BUT they do cover a large range of sizes which is handy.

 

So gone back to BFG AT KO2 and they do what they say on the tin and seem quiet as well.

really are a reliable tyre just look at ll the Mountain Rescue teams etc who have used em for years round here.

another vote for bfg atko or think they do the atko2 now, last well, good grip and snow peak marked, nice and progressive, quieter than anything else, really super tyre

Got GG AT2's on my L200 and had no bother at all with them. Wet fields etc and rocky ground they work well. Deeper muddy fields are a no go but then again some mud terrains would struggle. They handle well on the road in the wet and dry, impressive on snow too. Cheap enough and they did an 18" one which saved me buying new wheels.

Was recommended them by a work mate, who has them on a Hilux...

 

He's not shy with his right foot either, and yet still managed a good 50k+ miles out of them too....

Falken Wildpeak are apparently worth consideration...

 

my misses has those on her x trail,ok for an occasional jaunt up a muddy track with the dogs etc, not a serious contender but not bad

check out the good year wrangler duratrac. Bit more aggresive than AT's, which i found to be pants in the mud.

My local "best" auto center,they promote general tyres, oponeo wanted £145 just for tyres,so a cracking deal i think

Im on Cooper AT3s at the mo . Good tire .
