Chinese leader canvasses Spain and other trading partners on how to tackle economic fallout as market turmoil continues

Anyone got any ideas on how this all going to end?! :D

Xi isnt an idiot, Im guessing that he will come out on top.

He'll clearly come out on top, much like Putin. They're both players of the long game. They can both concentrate for more than five minutes on a strategy for starters; which is four more than Trump can manage!

Plus China has huge resources, of almost any form necessary to weather a standoff with the US.

I'll stick my neck out and say that America will be worse off at the end of it all. Not just economically, but in terms of "soft power" as well.

You are so anti Trump you are literally praising two in everything but name “

Dictators” of course they are in it for the long game. They have zero opposition until the very end game is played out. By all means have your daily trump rants but praising the abilities of two genocidal dictators 😳🤷‍♂️

Those huge resources you speak of doesn’t include the buying power of the USA, maybe why the Chinese leader is all of a sudden cosying up to the EU, mind you 42 you always did have a soft spot for the Chinese way of doing things.

Potus 🤷‍♂️more like Trumpus

And that folks, says it all really. Just in case anyone hasn't yet formed an opinion.

Thanks for the corroboration, again Davey.

The bloke isn't a Statesman or a business man imo. He might have some attraction but is costing the USA billions! Not only in this episode, but you can bet your pension that he bought low and will sell high personally in the crisis he caused!

There is no other opinion you want to here as was the case over the years in a number of topics hence not really being arsed getting into a question question question session which it invariably will. So not so much corroboration more dodging a 42 tedium bullet.

Nonetheless you are very welcome. No need to put the standard ATL y on the end by the way.

In fairness, I’d have done that. Weather forecasting is a waste of time. They’re usually wrong and you can’t do anything about it anyway.

Ehh, no... that's not even, umm... slightly true. At all.

Although not 100% accurate 100% of the time, the presence of weather forecasting does (among other things) allow you time to prepare and advise for such events as hurricanes, which the US has a somewhat colourful history of.

But I suppose it's like Covid testing... if you don't test for it, the numbers stay low.

In the same (weather) vane, if you don't keep the population informed about the increasingly-unpredictable effects of climate change, it's easier to keep a lid on the situation when yet another storm-of-the-century obliterates New Orleans... or Miami... or Mobile...
