Thanks, you corroborated the point perfectly!

Good thing as well since trying to have a reasoned debate with well formed arguments is futile in this and a couple of other threads on here.

Well 42 come on now, you yourself among with 3 others went off on more than a few unproven/unsubstantiated tangents if memory serves me right, on quite a popular but divisive thread not that long ago. Come to 🤔 think of it I’m still waiting to this day for proof of many of the accusations. Anyway that’s an unanswered question I’ll just have to endure  I guess 😂

Anyway back to DEI.

JLR have fully embraced the concept, just look at the current Jaguar advertising campaign. Talk about disruptive. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out in time. I'm sure the car will be technically brilliant, but aesthetically, it's not even in the same league as the E-Type. It was never going to be though so they've probably gone bold in other ways as they're resigned to that.

You mean like that ludicrous tranny Bud Lite shite 🤔

That went well didn’t it 😂

Maybe form an actual argument, remind me how many wars and drone strikes Obumma and Biden did Vs the Donald.

Could ask the same about George W Bush too?

Junior or old ?.

Daddy bush was pretty much in a stalemate cold war, lots of spending but make America great.

Younger started all the current fun times around the world.

Junior.

(Point I'm, making is that you can be one sided, biased if you like but if we all stood back and looked objectively at all sides of politics, and in fact all sides of society, we can find an event or story to back up what we are saying.)

And I've been pretty fair at directing blame, DEI is why Harris and her ilk lost plain and simple.

All the hand wringing about Donald being sooooo bad is just bluster and utter guff and he's actually working for the citizens of his country.

Why not think back to senior bush, Americans had money to spend and travelled the world, now most can't afford a basket of shopping due to Joe and Co efforts for the last what 30 years.

30 years.. been pretty much 50-50 split in that time... so all political parties have had a finger in how affluent they are over there... 2 sides you see. Current incarnation wants tariffs on everything by way of example, the importers into the US aren't going to be taking a cut.. which will mean price rises in the US. He wants to raise a trillion somehow... again.. that's not coming from my pocket but from the pockets of Americans - price increases.

Hate to burst your bubble, going 2 sides you see isn't helping your argument.

You know why Harris lost, I know why Harris lost, 300 million Americans know why she lost, she a bit like joe they don't.

No, he's using tariffs to force USA based companies to return manufacturing, as was happening here until net zero made electronics and large scale component manufacturers out priced.

Have you ever seen a reflow oven make a meter spin, think it was best part of 80kw each on full with 4 going simultaneously!.

And you highlight the point a certain liberal dei cool aid drinking types have zero understanding of the real world outside of their obviously rainbow flag emblazoned cubicle in the HR department.

Does your gents loo have a tampon dispenser?.

Maybe if you grew up in the 90/2000s you'd have been more than aware, nothing was there to hold you back and the seesaw of I'm better than you tokenism has long since pummeled itself into the ground in favour of a minority section.

Why don't you actually explain what you're view on DEI is Vs the actual corporate reality within say the BBC for example.

I don't fully get the gist of what you're saying here, but I think you're alluding to age. Like you, I'm "of an age", just a few years older than you I think.

Regarding DEI. I agree, I think in some cases it gets taken too far and approaches BS, DEI for the sake of DEI. True sometimes for the BBC it seems. In the private sector though I can't see it being an issue, companies will recruit the best candidate for the job, regardless of colour or gender. As has been said a few posts back. Anyway, over enthusiastic DEI is far better than outright discrimination. Like the 100 year regression in human rights that your Demagogue is trying to push through.

I've never understood why some people feel so threatened by the whole LBGQT+XFCIS thing. Bemused yes, threatened no. Why has it become such a thing now? I'm more concerned by why so many young people feel so unhappy in their own bodies, so much so that they need to "identify" as something else. (There are of course plenty of "genuine" cases, I'm happy that those people can now come out and be true to themselves without fear or favour. For now anyway, as of this week the future doesn't look so rosy). To me its got to be at least partly the symptom of some underlying wider malaise. The world is ****************ed up for sure, but is it really as simple as society as a whole just being too divorced from nature and too intent on overconsumption of social media and everything else?

This is a much more interesting discussion than the black and white "DEI is bad, Trump is good/god" mantra.

I'm not a fan of the pink brick either. Though it's slowly growing on me.

It's a threat to larger business as it's called ESG, they rate the businesses using a lot of these wokey dei metrics and they are forced to do it to earn points. Wickes did this, tractor supply, John Deere, ford did much worse.

Wickes is facing backlash after its chief operating officer said customers who hold gender-critical views are “not welcome in...

Better to look it up than me explaining.

Most of it is a result of kids being told their special, being told that x,y,z makes them special/different/better and then watching idiots online waffle about how great it is, then crying off camera into a stack of cash.

There's nothing wrong with just being normal, dull, boring, non descript but they all need to be taught to be happy in their own skin.

And without sounding callous puberty is meant to be horrible, accept it, live through it and when your 21 then decide if you're straight/gay/lesbian/trans.
