  2. Content may trigger those of a right hand tendency, apologies. Rainbow toast!!!
  3. Yes. 1st November. Couldn't be bothered to check dates last time. We've got "partridge day" before that but that's just a walk with a bag of four pigeons.
  4. Shouldn't be, November is the start on most but late January and early February is better and cheaper
  5. Again a generalisation, I have. Second part is not really correct as I have clipped ears of deer with. 22 cf and larger and apart from a splash the holes seem to bleed little after the hit, certainly less than DJT did but I wasn't there, but if I was I would suggest I could have an interesting, or one of a kind, mount on the wall in the lounge.
  6. Perplexed by laughing reactions. Have I been unintentionally funny?
  7. A couple of things, "the left" what does that mean? You mention "assault rifles" or "semi automatic guns" as per screen grab, the assault rifles are unlawful here in the UK and legally OK in the USA (generalisation) so is that a question for the USA arbs who visit here or a question on guns in general. I've owned several semi automatic "guns" (shotguns) and handled/used many sa rifles which were to all intents "assault" rifles so as far as I recall you are supposed to have been a pongo I would have thought that you would have seen that?
  8. I think that Trump is finished. They don't need to make Vance electable, he'll become president by default. I do think that there is a slim chance that the power grab will be stopped by the likes of California, but it's too soon to tell.

    Makita DUC150

Had another look, these show in stock but always best to phone first. 15 quid cheaper than mine, too! Makita UC029GZ02 40V Max XGT Cordless Brushless 150mm Pruning Saw In Makpac Carry Case | Dvs Power Tools DVSPOWERTOOLS.CO.UK Automatic chain lubrication eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh... Maintence day for my other kit, have a few files started but this came with a nice looking file guide, and I've never used one so gave it a try. File is shite, wouldnt cut toffee. A worn Pferd file is massively better than this (Gustharts sell them). Handle, a bit smalll, not very ergonomic. Without heating the file tang I'm not sure how your supposed to fit it as it wouldnt go in very far. The guide, works like it should, but guides are shite and annoying to use. Luckily I dont need them although my right hand, for left hand cutters, needs practise.
  10. We lost about 400 apples in the last storm (sad enough to count them...) - not quite there to eat but stewed they will do for pies and crumbles - and they freeze OK stewed up. Not tried yet, but I believe sliced they will freeze just as well like that.
  11. Today
  12. Not sure the Epstein thing will kill him off, if the voters were to be persuaded that he was conspiring with Maxwell to keep Epsteins crimes away from the courts they would have been persuaded by now. Not to say that moving on with Trumps many other failings makes him innocent, politically there is little more to be gained I think. Would need a video of Trump in the act as it were. I think the game plan now is to make Vance electable, spend the next 3 years working on that.
  13. I had a stumpgrinder tooth fly past my head at high velocity. Maybe stop wanking over Trump.
  14. now that brings us back down to earth, oftentimes the internet people enjoy some fun, but as you say - that guy's widow and kids have been through something different to fun
  15. Back again. I had done 2hrs30min since 'repairing' the engine. The last stump was on a slope and the machine cut out 3 times so I checked the oil 'Oy Vey, Allah Akbar, Mon Dieu and FFS !' to cover all bases... Oil level low. It took 500ml Ran it up again to finish the last stump but it lacked power and the stump being very fibrous made for a dismal hour or so. Back home, checked the valve clearances and was surprised to find them well out yet the nuts are tight. I've reset the valves, it runs fine but now light but obvious dark smoke when throttle opened. Oil vapour from valve cover is inside the part between carb and air filter. So I think I will change the engine and strip the old one down this Winter and earn my Boy Scouts tinkering badge. Meanwhile, I'd like to replace the engine with an electric start version. I see an option with oil bath filter. Is this worthwhile or even practical on a grinder? Please post your answers either here, or on a postcard to: Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, BBC TV Centre, London W12 8QT
  16. Conspiracy theories on here make the Covid thread seem tame in comparison. Gunshot wound, ballistic and medical experts on an arb forum. Who would have thought it. Not one of which I’d imagine has ever had the chance to hear the buzz or crack of a bullet pass by at close range. In case anyone doesnt realise the vascular supply to the head “ and ears” does tend to result in a lot of blood from even a small wound., Maybe show the pic of the ketchup bottle to the kids and widow of the guy killed in the audience.
  17. The Epstein thing (is it 12 weeks since Musk called him a nonce?), or his dementia will see him off. It's been well planned. MAGA wouldn't have voted for JD Vance. Now that the "Tech Bro's" are in charge, they can press on with their AI driven, surveillance state.

  19. Polytunnel a jungle. Didn’t stake well enough. Just put a few in at the last possible moment and hoped. Hope is not a strategy. IMG_5871.MOV
  20. Dumper, Ah, the site at the outfarm is good soil on top of basalt rock, like the well is cut into the living rock, right from ground level down, but our homeplace is on rank moss/ pure peat, with blue/ grey clay beneath. Cheers
  21. Hard wood and chips please
  22. Pheasant season is curry season so October or whenever that starts. Shakshuka with my tomatoes and my eggs earlier. Even put it on a clean plate to photograph for here but forgot before eating. Also still haven’t got round to trying that curry peds put me onto. Patiha? Will do when I have a dishwasher on the staff.
  23. I suspect right to left: Road. Kerb. Garden.
  24. AHPP

    Chickens?

Not just chickens. Arb chickens. Seen here sorting out two bags of rakings. IMG_5870.MOV
  25. Chicken with Cashew curry. Proper authentic Indian recipe. Note. Spoon purchased from a guy at last year's APF, carved from Alder I think he said. It's holding up very well considering it gets used almost on a daily basis. Where's your curry @AHPP
  26. Not convinced me, one dryads saddle at the base of the tree would be deeply weird. "The tree is in my garden", then they seem to have a road in the garden as well.....
  27. It has been fairly clear this time around that -given the same security knowledge Biden had, and he had before- his view of the world and the US is at odds with what is happening in reality. Things like recently the 'crime wave' in Washington where a week later the National Guard were litter picking are a good example of reality not matching what is in his head. Someone else is passing on a world view to him. It is also well known that he never actually reads any briefs in the first place... the world outside the Whitehouse isn't given in bare facts, but is narrated by whose turn it is to translate facts to him. The forces behind him arn't mysterious and shadows, Vance is a big force in persuading him and behind Vance are the likes of Thiel. Makes sense though that Vance shapes the current administration if he is tipped to lead the next. You're right though, not a mysterious conspiracy but in plain sight that he is being manipulated from behind. I've often referred to the 'emperors new clothes'.. which is what I see happening.
