  1. Past hour
  2. I will dig it out as its right at the back of cabinet,,
  3. Don't know, I'll ask our kid. All I can remember is his name was Pete.
  4. would that particular bus been called "Hotel Bastedos" I worked on that one for the band. I think that might have been later than that, now thinking about it. It was a far cry from the level of luxury of the later tour busses, it was an older coach converted, Lemmy complained about the lack of comfort, when he was in the bunk, as it only had them on it instead of the usual full compliment of passengers, the rear shocks were barely compressed making the rear end so hard a ride if you hit a decent bump in the road he would be ejected right out of the bunk, so I fitted heavy duty range rover shocks on the back and it worked perfectly, myself and a roadie took turns in the bunk and driving it to test it. Lemmy remarked it had improved it no end. I got a bottle of JD from him. I recall he was very polite to my girlfriend at the time, a charming gent.
  5. Our eldest kids mate drove the tour bus for Motohead around that time, .I vaguely remember him coming to our house with one shoe on after he'd fallen off his bike in the snow, pissed
  6. Norfolk. around christmas 77-78, along with many many others.
  7. Today
  8. A mushroom from under the tomato jungle canopy. And some stuff on the bench that you can actually see. Did find a cucumber in said tomato jungle the other day too. There are squash plants in there as well.
  9. Its not the normal done thing in the building trade. Maybe because its work that the electrician has not completed himself he is being wary.
  10. One of the few good things about coming home from holiday. Look at those figs. I don't know where they came from. I've never seen them as big as that even in the Med. Really sweet as well.
  11. In Stoke on Dope?
  12. I was drinking with Lemmy probably before some of you were born, He was good company, if you could get him off the fruit machine, the local pub got one in specially for him.
  13. Fergal is very good and absolutely spot on with his thoughts - hats off to him.
  14. You know these forums/ social media channels you talk of does anyome ever mention being paid to DJ and not turning up? Or, does it just work one.way?
  15. Cut off the ripped limb to minimise the bark peeling off, as that will only make it worse. Theres not much you can do for rot, perhaps get as much of the soil out as you can. Looks like a very substantial part of the tree ripped out. Do you have a photo of the rest? Apple trees are very commonly in bad shape, most I have seen are rotten.
  16. I strongly suspect an element of tongue-in-cheek with that remark. As log burners become the must have fashion, the stuff folk were happy to dispose of for free has become a valuable commodity. Round here, ready to burn logs are £165 per cubic metre, so the DIY version must now have a value.
  17. I once drove to Birmingham and the guy didn't show. His client wasn't too impressed either. It mainly meant I had an extra day at the APF but I'm still going to kill him one day. Changed terms immediately.
  18. Not since my inherited graphite spray can lost its propellant. I also have a huge tub of Rocol Moly disulphide tho I wouldnt put that on or near climbing kit, just incase it reacts in some unexpected way.
  19. It goes both ways, I used to supply 40yrd hook bins ,grab lorry's, skips ...for tree surgeons to load foc...we weren't picky on timber ...yet they still wanted beer tokens on top of haulage costs.. Then running a yard. Considering most tree surgeons have no yard ,no tip site, have to pay charges to dump chip or timber ...and they allready have been paid for a job.. ud think they'd be greatful to offload it onto someone ...
  20. I was in the shed earlier, having a miserable time looking for a chuck key (that turned up in the dining room obviously) but a lovely time blowing things clean. Got thinking what the highest priority tools in there are. I think setting up another I'd start with a bin, then a compressor, then a bench. It's that important.
  21. In my ( usually ) night time occupation, as a Mobile DJ, because of events along the lines of those described above, it's becoming the norm among Professional DJ's to issue a contract stating that full payment will be made possibly a fortnight before the event, or they're not loading up the van to even set off. Every time someone posts on Facebook/Forums that they've been stiffed for their previously agreed wages, these folk point out that such terms and conditions preclude this possibility. Some things are paid for in advance, others not.
  22. Not having much luck at the moment Pete.
  23. Wordle 1,499 5/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟨🟨⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟨⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  24. I was off out in the toy car and thought "I really ought to get roadside cover and a spare that would for either front or back". Then got a puncture 300 yards from home! The tyre is glued to the rim to prevent it slipping under power so will be a bugger to get off and the side wall may be trashed!
