A mate has them in his freezer for the odd meal. Says they taste better shot in the autumn when their diet is more nuts and vegetable based than in the spring and summer when they predate a lot of birds eggs and baby birds
  3. Good Morning Humpday and Octobering. Back to Tilehurst and more logs out this evening. Have a calm one.

  7. Sunny and warm later. Grinding and clear up today, easy stuff close to home.
  8. Welcolme to our tip site in Bishop's Tawton. Looking out for wood chips and unprocessed logs. Happy to pay a reasonable amount for hardwood (in cash or beer). Ideally contact ahead.

No, I think you should persevere, and post the results up on the cooking thread. That winter stew sounds good. It was a few years ago now, but I don't remember them tasting too gamey at all. The old clichΓ© - just tasted like chicken, but a bit more interesting.
  14. Hi all thanks for all your appreciated replies. I have a Husqvarna 550 XP mk 2 great saw, was wondering if there is bit lighter saw to use to cut the crooked cordwood, as at 74 the mind is more willing than the bodyπŸ˜‰

I'm guessing squirrels might taste a little bit gamey/possibly a bit interesting, when roasted ?? (I'm thinking Winter stews, with a bit of damson and seasoning etc.) I've no idea, obviously, but clearly would be quite a faff to prep them, as you say... So possibly skinned, cooked and then thrown into a stock pot, to separate the meat off easily.. ? Nah...you're right, it's all sounding a bit much of an effort πŸ™„
  16. Apologies - think more philosophically rather than anatomically. How can you choose to critique what you don’t believe/know?
  17. Just replace whole unit, my 150 played out about 4 years ago didn't get from timberwolf as said I needed to change whole setup with hydraulic manifold . Ring Parker hydraulics in Norfolk, supplied unit all you need is shorter bolts to fit.
  18. Aye, but, and I say this with respect, you are in your 70's, and the younger generation hasn't given up hope yet.
  19. Are you retarded ?? How is that an explanation β€œ seriously β€œ You still haven’t shown anyone where I asked for personal information the last time you were spouting nonsense.
  20. No, go on just put up the information, what harm can happen, it only relates to you and is quite obviously bomb proof, no one could possibly use it apart from you.
  21. Poor analogy, physical part of anatomy is still there just like the other things mention are. We can choose to differentiate between the micro, meso, exo, macro etc systems as Bronfenbrenner has shown but it requires one to actually use a modicum of critique of information we acquire.
  22. that boat sailed, and disappeared over the horizon, if only the ones arriving would do the same. no offence personally, but I think the shit is already in mid air, it's only a matter of time before it hits the fans.
  23. Optional to uk residents and imposed on newly registered migrant workers/asylum seekers - grasp on reality remains intact, as this will not be the case there is greater things at play…. β€œYour nose is always present, but invisible to you most of the time because your mind has chosen to filter it out. In the same way, there are truths, patterns, or even parts of yourself that are always there, yet unnoticed because you’ve grown accustomed to them”
  24. A cold Guinness, a comfy chair, and my dog sleeping on my lap, this is my "go to" to relax and forget,, just for a while how all the cutns in the country feck me off. it's a little long, but maybe some might enjoy it.
  25. It's really not as bad as it seems. Aye, people are pissed off about declining standards of living, the disparity between the rich and the poor, and the fact the food they used to buy for 2 quid now costs 3 quid (actually that does sound pretty bad). But nope, no pressure cooker. We need to work out who can act in our favour, and ensure that we don't vote for people who might act in the interests of people who don't care about us. And we have 4 glorious years to do that...
