Never had one in that many parts , mainly because it lasted really well and was still going strong when it was sold i resent selling it as it was my first chainsaw that got me through forestry college and in industry afterwards . The ones I had a dull view of was the 340 and 345. Is that the genuine pot or aftermarket one? Did like the 351g..

How do you do pizza dough?
-
And it still is. I won't be complaining.

Not home owner, land owner estate management saw , still a good saw , 346xp or xpg screamed but had no guts to it
-
Good luck on that with my first bike. A BSA Bantam, of indeterminate parentage. My, but it was definitely “ entry level “ motorcycling. 😆

AI is helping to decode animals’ speech. Will it also let us talk with them? WWW.NATURE.COM The complexity of vocal communication in some primates, whales and birds... "Alexa, tell the dog to fart outside." Could become a reality.

Agreed. I must say that for a forum I respect, and use as an information gathering utility, I regard the antics of many folks on the subjects not dealing with timber related issues as very disappointing indeed. I don’t have any problem with banter ( which is often very amusing) but name calling and insults really lower the tone. I’m by no means a snowflake, but I have standards. As a moderator on an unrelated forum, I appreciate the fine line trodden by those folks trying to keep us all in check.

number 1s an accident waiting to happen - no ppe, face in the kickback zone. who is teaching these people?

I concur. The problem extrapolates when the owners of the AI own the health insurance industry too. Surveillance and asset management companies like Blackrock and Palantir (see Wes Streeting, Vance, Musk, Thiel, Mandelson, Farage etc..), do not consider our collective health as anything other than a metric. Which worries me a bit. Not as much as it would if I had kids. I'm close to 50, have a fit lass, make decent money, good dog and mean eyed cat, so I'm happy. I do worry for my sister's kids though, as I don't see anything getting better anytime soon.

Love it Stephen !

Soon there won't be any GP doctors . The booking of appointments is rapidly going " on line " Oldies want someone to talk to and soon AI will replace doctors . Just type in your symptoms and hey presto ....this is what you need . The role of the doctors receptionist is coming to an end me thinks .

I'm glad you didn't ! There is a 345 as well . Totally shit !😄

Rightly so that you care about your offspring and their futures. I probably know a little bit more about how the education system works, in Scotland and beyond, but I'm happy to be corrected. Can you point out where my ignorance of the Scottish system shines through, and put me right, please? It's cheaper to train a doctor than it is to retain a good one. Clever scientists come up with good ideas. The last thing we should be doing is discouraging intelligence. We need more doctors in the NHS. I don't mind dodging a bit less tax to pay the bills.

I'm fast approaching a 100 saws of all brands, sizes and categories Stubby, I can honestly say my opinion of this particular one is extremely low, even as a homeowner saw, plastic fecking crankcase!!! every saw I own will surpass this pos with no effort at all, glad I didn't buy the thing.
-
Another one totally ignorant of how the Scottish system works. And yes I contributed a huge amount towards all of them. You ignored the article and focused on my financial situation. The anonymous one would be proud of you. No I don’t think the state should provide it especially not for foreign students which was my point all along. Come on lad keep up ffs.

Name the ships then. Who’s Davy
-
Well I wasn't at swans but my first seagoing ship was but my mate cloggy was on her from crewing up, does that help? D88. I'm in this photo but he'd left but rejoined a year or so later so isn't, I'm next to Davy.

They could have gone to university in Scotland, where you live, where there are no fees. Plus, you can probably afford to cover their university fees until they start earning money. Unless you think it should be up to the state to provide degree level education to those who are suited to it? I have seen loads of doctors from all parts of the world, and their unifying factor is that they want to help you get better. NHS is in a bad way, more doctors get a thumbs up from me.

That was another thread and for what its worth I was disgusted by some of those comments.......this is about it spilling over into another thread, nothing more.

FFS It was a straight question you daft old bugger. Why ?? Curiosity and the fact my best mate is an ex Stoker who cross branched to become a clearance diver, current project I’m on has 5 ex CDs also when I started diving I was up at Swan Hunters on many occasions doing work on a number of Royal Navy, RFA and BAS vessels, in particular post launch surveys. You barked before thinking didn’t you 😂
