  1. Past hour
  2. +1 for Cutty Mc Cutface.
  3. Cutty mc.Cutface ? 😁
  4. or bore cut or plunge cut?
  5. Yes it's what Husqvarna call sweep around ( or something like), with the inclusion of the letterbox bore.
  6. Did did you get it sorted ? I’ve looked through my 325 manual and can’t see any guidance on spring settings.
  7. Thanks for the recommendations guys I've been too busy to update my online portfolio in quite a while...heres a few of my more recent sites (click on the image to visit) Not a tree surgery website but one i'm quite proud of in terms of looks and performance We also offer brochure design Vehicle sign writing
  8. I'd call that a letterbox. I think the letterbox name mainly refers to the bit you bore in through the back of the gob (that sweeps the middle of the tree out) but if you're doing that bit then you're doing the rest of it.
  9. Cheers guys for the replies !
  10. @BillQ Take it this bunch are innocent in your eyes too.

  16. Ok, don't shoot me down in flames, but it was nearly 30 years ago I did my units so memory is not my strong point! I have unit 13 and I think this was part of it, felling trees over twice guide bar........So you make your gob cut then bore into the centre of the gob and fan the tip of the bar around to remove the centre wood, then bore into the back of the tree parallel with the hinge, (leaving a little more to compensate for the centre bore) and fan around the back, to fell the tree. This cut is called?? TIA
  17. If he’s got nothing to hide then what’s he worried about. People know the legal system in this country is a leftard piece of piss to manipulate, just like hooky did for years dodging extradition to the US at the UK taxpayers expense.
  18. You make the point that he is just a suspect, nothing is proven yet. But I suspect most people would not welcome him in the UK. It is great to be a lovely caring society but sometimes you have to say 'No!'. After all, if we get a reputation as being a country that will always protect terror suspects and block them from returning to the country where the crime took place we are pretty much doomed. And there is a second problem of him staying here. Should he be allowed total freedom, in which case that could be putting the lives of many people in the UK at risk (if he is a terrorist that is). Or if we agree he must be supervised or at least kept a careful watch over then what will that cost?

  21. I have already covered this, compliance with a statutory requirement (condemnation by the Council and an order to fell them) is an exemption. It is not necessary also to prove risk. But even if it had to be proven, the legislation merely says "prevention of danger". It could be said to mean immediate danger but it could also just mean 'danger'. It could mean slight danger or serious danger. It could mean danger to property or danger to people. Contrast that with the Scottish legislation which says "necessary for the prevention of immediate danger to persons or to property,". I expect that's what FC wishes it says in England.
  22. Christ you are genuinely a true Leftard. That like your sailor boy Andrew !! Suspect because mammy made the charges go away with a £12 million donation. Wise up ffs
  23. Yes, it sounds like these are already dying. I just cut the stumps as low as possible with a chainsaw and then if I want to be really tidy, I hire a stump grinder..
  24. As described Id thoroughly recommend the balance XT. I've used it on all kinds of strimmers and long reach headgecutters and long reach chainsaws.
  25. What does it say? If jumping to conclusions was an Olympic sport, you'd be a contender!
  26. Hi All Am I wasting my time trying to kill stumps with eco-plugs? Basically the bark is already falling off and there is next to zero cambium layer? Or can you insert sideways?! Thanks
  27. The machine did come with a harness when I bought it new in 2011, although it has given me great service over the years, its worn out, the webbing that holds the clip has been replaced a few time, so I'm looking to purchasing a new one..
