  1. Past hour
  2. Mighty actor Loved him in true grit.
  3. Thanks guys -I really do appreciate all the responses -especially those suggestions of brokers worth contacting. 👍
  4. If you own/use a Black S2. 630 or Black SX2 800 cone splitter how do you get on with it , what size “knotty, twisted grain , hard wood “, trunks ( say 2.4mtrs long)can you comfortably split with it , please specify which model you are using. I ask as considering buying one. I would be hiring in a 5 or 8 tonne 360 to use it on . Many thanks for any info.
  5. Today
  6. Expert advice now sadly missed from the brand. I hope that they get up to speed and were as available as GreenMech always was!
  7. From wearing on the bridge rope? I'd have expected the device friction links to wear quicker, interesting to know.
  8. Mark J the voice of reason unless it’s a weekend late at night a conversation about Trump, conservatives, Brexit, billionaires or some other rabbit hole he’s been down searching for a reason why socialism fails every time, to think certain individuals called me a “ conspiracy theorist too” you included, during the farce.
  9. That's as far as my ladders reach anyway.
  10. AHPP

    Devon style

Why does only Devon use bank hedges? Availability of stone for the faces? Plenty of other places have stone.
  11. Again, another irrational response.
  12. Sorry Team, had a shit night then woke up too late to post! Off to Trent side up north of Gainsborough to deliver tracked unit to new owner but we issues with the remote so back again tomorrow. Finger error i reckon! Cher, Locke, Homes.
  13. Or I could get pissed out my brains in order to cope 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ like you do 🤔
  14. Jees when were made in Japan? Or end of production run? Last time I brought anything on Honda it was made in Thailand and was shite . Even gently put on a gp trailer via a ramp and it would plaster the bloody spark plug with oil. Such temperamental shite .
  15. Even more odd edit. Tax efficiency is one reason why I run business, mostly it's because my clients don't tend to deal with sole traders. Shameful discrimination, but there you go. I think that given your obsessions online, you're a little bit unhinged and should see someone about it.
  16. Think the problem is , saws aren't what they used to be , fuel isn't the same , chains and bars aren't what they used to be . If im thinking correctly the sthil rescue saw was based on a ms 460, Sthils always have been slower cutters, and husqvarna have been quicker. But most firms run mixed fleets of saws, not one model is great any more .
  17. I have this vision of frantic cleaning ladies all busy dusting and polishing,,, waiting for the music to stop.
  18. Old Honda made in Japan were good . New Honda made in China not so good . Not as good as Loncin .
  19. I've had a brief go on a Relfex.. Short answer is worth getting if your on the fence, mainly due to the price. Easier than a RRP to get on the line, not as easy as an akimbo or BDB. Unsure on the ergonomics or how to hold it, guess that would come with use. Currently I prefer ones that have a bird, RRP, BDB etc It's short enough, would be very short direct onto the bridge but stuck there. I reckon a perfectO to the bridge or small ring would be OK. Otherwise the swivel will need replacing most Lolers. Also the swivel means you can disconnect to pass it around a branch. Not a big deal as its relatively easy to take on off the line instead, but still more of a faff. It tends well ascending and coming in off a limb and feels slick. I don't get the need for a wrench. I reckon it'll be a pretty good device. Especially for those who go between MRS and SRT. It feels heavy and bulky in the hand which soon becomes irrelevant when it's on the rope. For myself it's of no benefit over the two BDB's I use. With one of them being set up shorter than this can ever go. If your on the fence, then buy one.
  20. Better than old school Honda, Honda isn't good at all
  21. What an odd response. I am indeed Universally educated. I also spend half my time away from home. Made peace with drinking some years ago. Why are you so bitter? You have a good job, wife, kids, house, can afford to move when pylons move in. You've clearly had a humour bypass at some point, and you still haven't answered what kind of music you like?
  22. You claim to be university educated, you still live in your hometown, apparently you run your own business ( tax efficiently) why do you need alcohol so badly in your life ??
  23. Your 461 and 066 will be going long after these more modern machines have clapped out. The 550 has the Husqvarna air cleaning system where the flywheel fins spin the air in to the air box so it is relatively clean before it hits the air filter. There was a vid on YouTube with a Husky and Stihl running side by side and he piled saw chip over both saws, turned them off and looked at the air filter. The Husky was remarkably clean. I would give the carb a service, new diaphragms and fuel strainer (the one in the carb) and would then get someone who knows what they are doing to adjust the carb L screw and tach it on the H screw. I have gone many and every one ran lean and was revving higher than it should. Less fuel makes the saw more difficult to start. It is worth making sure that the choke is actually completely shutting off the choke when applied and the fast idle setting is actually holding the throttle open a bit. This will show up as the saw not revving much on the mid setting between choke and idle on the choke lever. It is all basic stuff.....these saws should burp on two pulls and start on the third if cold. No saw should need 8-10 pulls or more to get it going
  24. You live in Aberdeen, spend half your time on a boat. Seem to have the earned resources to keep you and yours in good health. Why are you so bitter, or it just that you get a dopamine rush when someone responds to anything you post?
