I don't blame you. I can only do this to strimmers that have will definitely be idle between October and May. did you inspected the pistons before? Is it just scoring or have the rings melted, is it just the exhaust side or is there damage to the intake side? post some pics I feel stupid asking, but have you ruled out a mix error? Have you compared the colour of the mix that caused the issue with fresh fuel?

So **************** everyone else I’m all right Jack Cheers easy HMRC

I have been using the art one with the cocoon pulley, it's the muts and has been for all the years I have been using it. I can only recall it getting stuck twice in the last ten years. I think it is the design of it. Only trouble is it is an expensive piece of equipment to be smashing to tarmac from 50ft upon retrieval, I should lower it down but never have. Due to be replaced. I do use srt a bit, particularly for access. When I came to the art pulley saver I could not believe the difference in friction between that and a regular ring to ring one I had been using previously!

Get back to work you lazy bugger. Labour look after the public sector shirkers that’s for sure.

Ah HMRC boy, nope I voted reform last time as I’ve told you several times. Is not tax in jock land devolved by the way ??. As a person who was conned by Sturgeon I’d not be making my mouth go if I were you lad. Anyway SP I see the biggest issue for productivity has been revealed to be the “ public sector” if you spent a bit less time on here do you think that might help??. There’s a nice little article from our Norwegian cousins, happily extracting oil and gas whilst we play net zero games, it shows commercial diving not the this Scuba/latex fantasy you keep droning on about. Done the sums last night, broadly speaking they'll be taking the same tax from me as before. What did amuse me though is that -even before she had stood up to speak- the Daily Mails calculator was headlined by "How much MORE will YOU pay"... not saying they are biased but... in their actual calculator when I looked they (and the Telegraph) only asked about what will put your tax bill up so any gains from it were not included "Do you drive an electric car" but forgetting fuel (petrol) duty being frozen as an example. Bit of a bland budget to be honest, nothing to get too wound up about, and nothing to get excited about either.

Of course, this was always there, even under the Tory government that you voted for. Just an increase in the cash 'reward'.

could backfire on them,,, they are already turning on each other, this could prove to be their ultimate demise.

I’d go for an adjustable one with rings rather than plain rings each end. Something around 2.5–3m seems to cover most trees I’m on. The prussik makes it easy to snug up whether it’s over a limb or round the stem, and you don’t have to keep retying knots. They are a bit harder to retrieve off a stem if you really crank them tight, but as long as the bark’s not too rough and you don’t jam it in a union they usually pull out fine with a decent flick and a retrieval cone/ball. Big step up in comfort compared to a sling and steel crab, and you can actually get it back from the ground.

Both are decent bits of kit. From what a lot of climbers say, the SAKA feels a bit smoother and lighter, and it’s easy to tweak the bungee so it sits right, while the HAAS tends to give you that longer ‘big step’ feel and is pretty bomb-proof. If you’re already used to 30" of travel on the HAAS you might miss that with the SAKA, but most people seem to find it more efficient over a full day. I’d pick based on which set-up fits your rope diameter and how you like to stand in the harness rather than the spec sheet.

Morning all, Get my state pension today, 66. Celebrating by going out to work. Young lad dismantling large manky pine close to a shed. I’m on the ground. Yesterday for only the second time ever we experienced carb icing up due to fog and below zero. Yet today’s max is forecast at 14 degrees. Totally weird.

Morning, rest well Mick! Mild here too, word is it’s to be 12 degrees today. That should shift the last of the village ice hopefully. That’s me pretty much off now till new year, got some wee chores to do, and I’ll get steam cleaner back from the work shop so everything’s getting a good wash down. Have a good day.

I used to find that winter storage thing of " running them until dry" never helped, used to **************** the carbs so I gave up on that . Like above ive had big saws thst sit in the shed until needed , and also had the old series of husqvarna having issues with fuel with one local idiot eventually getting to the saw and seizing it up (hunt) he wrecked a good h350 for not putting new fuel in it . And another workshop did 12 saws of carb cleans , pipes and not running right, the were the 2 series husqvarnas as well as the 3 series . So ive just got to a point now where I cant be fked with messing and I get better economy out of motomix or aspen , no fkd machines or gammy carbs . Also better for your health well aspen is

A state sponsored scheme to encourage citizens to inform on each other. The Stasi would most definitely approve.
