  1. Past hour
  2. Bastard to reduce btw.
  3. Always been a purple plum in my universe.
  4. What’s even more of a pain is arriving to your yard in a morning to find your chipper gone. It takes 5 seconds to push a chipper inside a container. It’s a two man job which we do every evening. Or for the times I’m alone we have a battery winch set up inside the rear of the container and I use that to pull it in on some spare climbing line. That’s about 30 seconds. I second what Mick said. I’d just add that you want a box welding onto the lock of the container door so that once the padlocks on you can’t get an angle grinder on it. I’d also park your trailers in front of the container doors and put a wheel lock on them so they can’t be moved. Just an added layer of security to stop them getting in the container quickly.
  5. What a hoot ! 😃
  6. Just in case but don’t think so
  7. I think if you cut off a chickens head and post a pic of the blood splatter we could probably advise you better. I’m pretty sure insurance companies use something similar to determine their premiums for that year.
  8. Aye.
  9. I think it’s Prunus cerasifera but doesn’t 100% fit. Any better ideas?
  10. I'm not sure if relevant today, but back when I was a young'n insurance costs were affected by the popularity of insurance claims, for instance mini,s were popular among young drivers , but the crash rate was high because of inexperienced drivers, the premiums reflected this, certain 4x4,s are stolen to order and gain places an increase on insurance, it might pay to approach a friendly broker and inquire as to what might be a good choice. the next year all being well and with a years experience under his belt, the choices would broaden.
  11. Marketing / selling of any manufactured item ( woodwork or other ) is not easy , in fact it is a whole subject/ industry in itself , think of all the famous brands ,,coca cola . ferarri, stihl etc they all spend a lot of money and time / effort on marketing !! ...however for such things as woodwork then most probably country shows etc I would imagine would be best ...social media can work but is very time consuming and most followers will be other woodworkers who are unlikely to buy your work , I do a fair bit of woodturning and sell mostly through Galleries but could easily make a lot more stuff than I can sell , craft fairs can be very hit and miss ! Good luck .....
  12. ...and yet... the one who brags of the highest wages, 3 or 4 times the industry standard is the first to whinge like a bitch with every tax rise, every penny of tax money paid out, and the ones whose political affiliations are to the centre and left, barely a peep. Are you actually reading the threads in this forum?

  15. Eventually all trees become unsafe, die, or fall over. Are you looking for us to say yes or no? This week, no. In the next 50 years, probably.
  16. Same radical loonies who want to do this: Giuliani, Trumps lawyer who took the hit over the voting machines getting the Medal of Freedom Trump To Award Disbarred 2020 Election Denier Rudy Giuliani The Nation's Highest Civilian Honor UK.YAHOO.COM Past recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom have included Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and Mother Teresa all within the realms of possibility given that Giuliani has also been taken to court for sexual misconduct. Great minds think alike and all that..... Woman suing Rudy Giuliani reveals tapes detailing alleged vulgar remarks WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK Noelle Dunphy filed transcripts in court of former NYC mayor allegedly making sexually explicit and anti-semitic remarks
  17. Fungus appeared this year on twin stemsycamore tree. Growing out of top of old cut wound. Given left hand stem on picture is leaning at appropriate 20 degrees at base is this likely to be problematic at some time in the future in terms of the tree becoming unsafe.Tree is approximately 25m tall. Fungus is dryads saddle. Tree over hangs highway and close to houses.
