Not really my bag, but I appreciate his legendary status. Great for them and the fans that they managed to that last big show in Brum a couple weeks ago.
-
Just read it elsewhere, not my thing but a legend of rock. To be fair he did well to make his mid 70's considering the abuse he gave himself over the years. RIP.

Loved the smell of some of the firs we would come across house would smell handsome when it was next to tge log burner drying. Some were a pain to prcess on the sawbench though as the grain structure made it want to clamp to the blade.

What a pile of arrogant sanctimonious pish.

You didn’t answer as usual SP which of these does not fit your racial profile of what an “ African” looks like. Which of those is not in your view South African then SP 🤷♂️

Do you have a local big cat? Puma? -
I think you are misunderstanding Mike. I think only an idiot would be thinking any of the crimes highlighted in this thread are exclusive to one portion of the population or another. They are committed by all and when you look at the available statistics none are more represented than others (give or take small variations). I also think you would have to be an idiot to believe that a single factor is the identifying cause of the criminality; it isn't just the race (highlighted many times above), but things like your economic situation, where you live and 101 other things. The charge of racism is well levelled when despite knowing the above, one chooses to only highlight one race rather than focussing on the crime itself. Some of the crimes highlighted are horrific but are only a footnote to the race of the perpetrator. One thing I do believe is that the members of this forum are not racist, they are good people, no harm to others if they cause no harm to you. Being a member of any forum you are accountable to the ethos of it. If all a casual visitor sees is vitriol and hatred towards non-white races that is the perception they get about all of us. That is not who we are as a group. This is why I believe it is important to note, to highlight and to call out intolerance. I am not a racist, I don't believe you are, but accepting the many racially biased posts paints us in that light.

Are you.a robot? -
The government are crooks. They profit massively from tobacco revenue. They could ban it, and other damaging drugs, but they won't. As it suits them not to do so. They could also legalise everything and let people work it out for themselves.

could be either as you say Stubby, but there is a distinct difference between the English sawn off shotgun and the Irish version. -
FFS! Stubby... please keep this one quiet. Don't want the world taking all of that too. ( I am like minded, it burns well, dries quick, the energy in it is released as heat quick (hot fires) but you need to refuel more often... but if anyone asks, it is rubbish and here is my address if you want dump it there)

Theres a few up now of ash beech and sycamore but not much, not sure what my landlord would say about tree surgeons tipping in the yard I have thought about it before. Its on a working farm so would be best if I went and got it at least then I can stack it in the right place and not have it tipped in the way. Like I said was only an idea as I ised to enjoy it but its not the end of the world if I couldnt make it work.

I know it might be hard to sell given the myths about soft woods but I would have leylandii all day long and twice on Sunday . Terrific fire wood .
