Following on from the cut and hold thread, I would like to find out how many people have never ever used a 200t one handed.

I have chogged down with one and shoved the chog off with my left hand as the saw comes out of the cut at the back.

I also hold branches with my left hand whilst cutting with the right hand at arms length away from me, when drop zones are tight or awkward

I do this daily

I also think rather than trying to force people to use a saw that was designed for one handed use, training should encompass the use of a 200t one handed when conditions and safety allow

Lets face it, one handed use will never be stopped and I would rather see people using one handing with knowledge and training, than without.

Even if the banned 200t's tomorrow, I would make my own, they are invaluable in our job and with training and experience are very safe to use

Been trying to avoid getting drawn into these threads. But here i am!

I use a top handle one handed all the time, cutting and holding weather it be holding the saw in my right hand or left. I also use it on the ground alot, usually with 2 hands unless i am logging up small rails in which case i hold a rail in one hand and saw in the other.

I believe training in one handed use should not be provided.
