We have a trailer tent. No weekends though being retired we go when it's quiet in the week. Caravan and camping club members, nice sites and quiet nights as well.

Have a static caravan at wood park just outside Tenby and try and get down there as much as possible.for some reason even if the whether is crap it's just good to get away.:thumbup1:

I tend to work through the weekends as I'm usually working a long way from home. I always take the whole of the kids summer and x-mas holidays off work though. I think the kids probably get to spend more time with a dad who isn't knackered and grumpy than if I came home every weekend.

I do love me camping though.I always camp in my Eureka hammock when I'm working away and always take the family for 3 weeks camping in France during the summer holidays.

I don't get many weekends off and really do like camping, missus ain't so keen though.

I also do my best to avoid people/crowds. Unfortunately North Wales fills up with folk that usually live in the towns and cities and it does get relatively crowded.

Can't say I blame them either.

I am extremely lucky to live off the beaten track so hardly any people other than a few dog walkers, no traffic as it's the end of a no through road. I have dug a lake so can go fishing any time I please although these days I get more pleasure out of throwing bread to the fish.

I live in the type of place most weekend campers want to visit. I am not bragging about it, I am just saying that I do realise just how fortunate I am.

The A55 on a Sunday eve is a nightmare! So summer weekends are usually spent at home far from the madding crowd. :)
