  1. Codrut

    Vigo Road Allotments

Woodchips and mulch for one of the allotment plots. There's enough room for at least 3 cubic meters of organic matter.
  2. Looking for woodchip drops for mulch - At the back of the Walled Gardens of Cannington there are large brown gates which are usually open. This is our 'Service Yard' you'll see two poly tunnels when you go in and a blue trailer. The drop can be up near the top poly tunnel on an area that looks like it has had woodchips previously. This is on Brook street in Cannington. DO NOT DROP AT FRONT ENTRANCE OF GARDEN.

    Leaf It Right Here

Happy to take most green waste, including logs, branches, hedge trimmings, and even brash that still needs chipping. If it came from a tree or shrub, it's probably fine. Just drop it on the driveway and I'll take care of the rest. No need to bag it or cut it small - I've got the tools to handle it.

  14. We seem to be producing more chip than we can get rid of (for free) at the moment and I’m constantly looking for new tip sites. We have at least a transit van load a day, if not more and we have a few places that take the loads for free, but if we cannot find somewhere to tip (for free), we either dump it in our field (access is poor - can only just about get a transit down the track and around a sharp bend) or we have to take to somewhere like Colliers and pay to get rid which is quite pricey! I’m interested to hear how others in the industry manage their chip. What do you do with it and is there another way of making a profit from such a sort after material? Thanks in advance, Sophie
  15. woodchip wanted hi, i have recently bought some land and will welcome any free woodchip you may have i would also welcome logs, felled trees and forest waste the problem I have is that my land is mostly clay and I need lots of mulch and organic matter before I can begin to grow veggies in years to come. Access is very easy and located 7 miles from Grantham. please do get in touch if you can help - it would be most appreciated thanks james

  17. I’m looking for quite a bit off wood chip for my front and back garden. I found this website say free woodchip and i cant find where to order the woodchip.
  18. Anyone know of someone with a biomass standard chipper (G30 or G50) available to hire with operator in Cornwall/West Devon? Ideally as far West as possible as I'd need them to chip for about an hour every six weeks (ca. 36 cubic metres at a time), so don't want to be stung for travel costs. Thanks.
  19. Where does the law stand on the classification of chip, logs and arisings from construction sites (development sites, road schemes, highways works, etc. etc.)? Many construction clients are now stating that this material should be moved, stored and "treated" as a waste. Some of our subcontractors are also running into this problem. For example, if you remove demolition timber, or old fencing from a site, you have to operate under a full Waste Management Licence. This involves WAMITAB qualification and using consignment notes. As far as we can see, the Environment Agency https://www.gov.uk/search?q=wood+waste&filter_organisations[]=environment-agency has no obvious guidance on their website, so does anyone have the facts on what the law says?
  20. Can I change anything to my chipper to get less long chip bits as shown in photo? I prefer tiny cubes all over.. Or is it just the material that goes in being responsible?
  21. hi guys, anyone know of a site i can tip a load of woodchip near bournemouth/dorset? cheers
  22. Hi, I have posted on Arbtalk about our tip site a few times. We are an arable farm that is EA permitted to take green waste and chip/logs. We are now calling ourselves Cheshire Green Waste and a website will follow later in the year. There is no charge for tipping good quality chip and logs (but must be separated). Once you register with us you can drop in our large tip yard whenever you want. Our address is Tanyard Farm, Castle Mill Lane, Ashley, Cheshire WA15 0QT. We are minutes from junction 6 of the M56. Email me at [email protected] Mobile: 07535 025888 Richard
  23. Morning all, looking for a tip site around the Poole/Bournemouth area.
  24. We are on a job in Somercotes and have a load of woodchip and logs to get rid of which are mainly conifer. Can anyone help with this or know of any green waste recycling centres locally that will take it? Thanks in advance. Dan K 07843 680483
