  1. Been reading they have been finding many that had an "itch" so to speak had the virus but not showing symptoms that was considered "Covid" 111 not worth much as giving out poor info. There was one guy from UCLH suddenly lost smell and taste tried many things but no he'd lost them so rang 111 any fever/cough? No ok you don't have it but being Medic thought better rang Boss he arranged a test came back positive by then he was already isolating along with family as work with vulnerable/at risk patients. So there saying so many back then was walking round infecting all and sundry! As other symptoms are gastric and Muscle. Asia has been finding in tests it's present in Semen which is the reason there thinking finding hard to work/cure with some people as deeper rooted! Few things ive thought on one that has now come up is blood types A seems one for getting it worse! There other is hormones High Testosterone levels relative to the others in your body as T is an immunosuppressant. It's a weak hormone while Estrogen is stronger as made up of more compounds.
  2. Any Engine does not like idling either new or old! Try that on a Harley Electra Pig etc and will have back cylinder hanging out! Great way to get ring glaze is to leave to idle for long periods promotes bore wear also. Reason run engines is to seat everything down under some pressure clearing any rough bits off/out evening out any tolerance differences and variances between components ie block>head>sump>manifolds etc Main one is Alloy to cast iron as soak heat differently so a hot piston in a cold bore can lead to increased wear/scrub. Alloy Pistons Anneal in use like any metal heated/cooled but you want it more even. So idling on an Air cooled Engine is a sure fire Death sentence as the reason is in the name Air Cooled! Needs decent airflow over so don't cook it! as oil for one as a heat range it works in too cool is bad and too hot is also. Best is to run any engine under reasonable load varying revs often and not maximum revs esp non loaded and let cool a bit before switching off by running no load with medium'ish revs for short while. Known bike engines to blow up shortly after stopped after being "Hot" so next time or so when was under a lot of load went bang! Metals/Tech/Tolerances and oils are far improved these days but still need to look after things. For me with a high performance engine like a Race lump be it bike or boat i'd run for so many hours/tanks then open and clean internals for any swarf/debris then put back together with a re torq of everything. But to me think you should go put saws back in the boxes and go learn some mechanics before you cost your self lots of $$$ maybe even your life! should you have an accident up a tree with one! There not Toys!
  3. Very "Deep" pockets these days as K'in expensive!
  4. Cyclists joined to any of the Organisations like CTC/BCF etc do have third party insurance just like do when in BASC
  5. they was probably on there way to a Job? Gardners need Horse Shite! Self propelled muck spreaders!
  6. But you prioritise ones that are esp one man bands that don't have a workshop full of machines or Billy Bongo that uses once in a blue moon and with it on full choke cutting the grass part of running your business. It's more the one man bands that continue your business rather than big companies that either dump you or declare Bankrupt leaving you with unpaid invoices and Billy bongo that don't want to pay for repairs or leaves it with you or see so little Known too many Big noises that thought hell yeah get in with the big money drop everyone else then while down the track they went Hello! bye so they was left on there knees Drove for Christian Salvesen years back M&S/whatever name they used for delivery side? Told him we want you to do only our contract work (so drop everyone else!)He said no! he had 1000 odd trucks and trailers all over the place plus staff. He told them sure you give me/i do all your work then you find someone else that will do cheaper and say Adiós so im left with all my staff and kit with no work and overheads! Little of something is far better than a lot of nothings!
  7. Hi not sure where to put this? But have two decent size Holly trees to remove there the green with yellow edges to leaves type trunks around nearly 7 foot high and nearly a foot across on both of them. Was reading there pretty sought after for many things so thought would post on here if know anyone interested
  8. I have a guy where get my reel tuning bits and spares plus other fishing kit and always stick up for him as there is a twat that tunes/(fooks Reels) that bad mouths the other places that do i put work his way as much as can he gives me info on things about many matters in the trade part of the way things go. But part of dealing with shops etc is the feeling you have had a good deal for if feel like been fooked up the rear end your unlikely to return and tell others
  9. Most commercials look like avoid them/give a wide berth there tanking up the amateur gardeners with well sir it needs new giggling pins your laughing shaft has too much play in it we can book it in for a service(won't need another one till end of next year as wont have it back so just hope have a spare mower) another friend used them before in there old shop always on the go gardening so mowers worked but you have a time frame with the season he just said bowlicks as took ages mucked his business right up. Now if your a business esp someone that uses you reg you look after them get there kit back pronto as livelyhood not some odd weekend phut phut round Garden. but they just have a poor attitude sort of take it or leave it(i'd leave it) Mind probably still paying fines off for when they got caught dealing in Stolen Mowers etc! "Reputable Stihl Dealers" With me if someone is good with me il always help them out
  10. So Friend said would shout me a Chain for Helping him out put it on there Bill. So we was by place in E17 Stihl Stealer So "Genuine" chain! 84 links on 3/8 063 the price?..............................................................£47 i looked at box inside outside sniffed it looked all round in case had dropped out on floor but no where could i see the Saw that should have come with it for that price. Taking the proverbial urine! There a not very helpful lot either and say if you asked could you check idle/revs etc (something that most places would just do on the spot type of thing) it's do you want to book it in for a repair Kerching £90 and won't see for 6 months odd. I support real shops as best can Hate Amazon with Vengence but this is the way they thank you! Then they wonder why get from likes of Chainsaw bars etc and they had some serious wonga from friend over the years with mowers and weed gear.
  11. It's here if want it though
  12. Can cut round it with sharp scissors then form over end of biro/pencil etc not pointed end though! or blunt end of a drill thats just under right size of hole
  13. there isn't/wasn't any genuine parts around to fit as no one had them so had to go with what could get.
  14. Can't we snip it down a tad?
  15. theres a piston on flea bay for Husky 58mm if i remember right also had bits for 55 and crank set also barrels and pistons.there was a walbro carb also
  16. Ive one that came out of my 372xp if you want it? it is clean had a new one so stuck that in when put new gaskets in
  17. Likes of pirteks should have the seals also but most hydraulic places should be on the ball. It's only a bottle jack workings they use same thing for Truck cab tilting mech
  18. The one that seems faulty came from northern bars as a kit drum.bearing and rim sprocket
  19. No got offered a deal on rim sprockets from them so took a chance for price. Sugi Hara in some have 10 or 11 tooth bar ends [HUSKY3] BC2M-8J37-A Sugihara Pro Lam 15"[38cm] .325 .058 64 drive links WWW.CHAINSAWBARS.CO.UK [HUSKY3] BC2M-8J37-A Sugihara Pro Lam 15"[38cm] .325 .058 64 drive links www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product/husky3-bc2m-8h37-a-sugihara-pro-lam-small-nose-15-325-058-64-drive-links/
  20. Well my bag of sprockets id ordered on whim as a deal from Choogie land even says Oregon on them!?? But does make me wonder if they are getting them made there themselves!??? So thought would have a look/poke around! with chain so can see teeth but not tips it was binding but found when catching chain was tight then once past slack so got cover off and padded bar studs out did bar up so could see as best as could rim sprocket area but didnt show too much but did notice it was every so often like out of step so adjusted tension but would still do it and thats with new chain also. So thought ha clutch off and try one of the new Choogie Express ones even though when compared together seemed same! Well now runs ok it seems will check again before use just to make sure but thinking of replacing bar anyway got my eye on the Sugi Hara pro lam as £28 plus. have choice of 10 or 11 tooth sprocket so go with 11 unless? The other choice is stay with 058 or go to 050? Have 15" atmo but guess the 050 enables to go longer esp if use skip chain not sure what the max bar is for 346XP 45cc? Mind 15 fits in my Electrolux/Husky bag 16 i guess at a push but have 20" on other saw. Now had a longer look at that rim sprocket on 1 or 2 slots it looks like bottom of teeth have been pushed harder into metal so could be something to be mindful of for others having issues
  21. The one we had been at selling fake braid got shut down sort of got hit from a few sides aah Think Customs/VAT finished them off Ebay got done 6million while back on vat and other things
  22. https://www.screwfix.com/p/screw-bolt-extractor-set-2-pieces/2951v
  23. Ease out reverse drill bit! so the drill works by being lefthanded bit One issue you could find if into Alloy and hasnt been out for a long while is Electrolysis as mixed metals ie Alloy and steel add moisture=them growing against each other so things seize up.
  24. Any suspicions you have forward them to Stihl can find on Twitter i sent a load to them other week about fake bars and chains which entrapped themselves by there own admission quoting genuine in own description while in item box below pictures says usual chinese "Unbranded" Stihl AG was happy found said getting team onto them as had issues with failures on items from buyers already. The more we do it the less of them can get away with it.
