Ordered a couple of the better looking oil pumps for 044 from Choogie land as buy from UK? seller if can find are just coming from there anyway for time being but ordered few rings and buffers from IS along with the spring for worm drive as mine has lost it's end. The 372 revs ok it seems just dies when under load from time to time sometimes cuts ok for while also.

With the 044 oil pump does the adjuster screw either provide the restriction on flow or does it open/close a valve as turn in/out if that makes sense? As something you have like of a ball detent valve so as press whatever against it it opens allowing more flow. While the other way is the end of screw works by providing the restriction if it's this way pump must be fooooked

Is that a carb off and opened job i take it? only thing i had done was remove filter and clean i did have a little flat spot on first tap of throttle! which made me think maybe too lean so under load it's bogging down/stopping and it did putter out while put down once done a cut where as before idle was bit too fast before cleaned filter other day

Hi screw has jumped ship that adjusts oil flow for chain (looked at diagram should be screw and two washers) Can i clean out and replace or remove pump then do or will it be a new pump as no oil flowing and can't for life of me remember if adjuster holds pump valve open or closed? As some more pressure on valve closes while others opens them And how do you remove pump! have plenty of T27's now?
