  1. Thanks to videos like this on youtube ... I watch less and less TV...This is what cameras were made for. Legendary Road - 100 km-h - YouTube.url
  2. I like the removable metal ones from glass bottles...better for the planet , no micro plastics to digest ...and if we do the old school money back on the empties then less litter.
  3. To the person who stole my anti depressant tablets… I hope you’re happy now
  4. Intervention as one in four school starters in nappies WWW.BBC.CO.UK A charity says it wants to help families struggling with toilet training ahead of September. We are doomed , wtf is going on in this country...25% of all parents are now too lazy to do the basics of parenting...I would have put a 1 in 10 figure on it but this is shocking.
  5. Thanks, I appreciate the positive feed back ...I am no where near professional tho or even any way close . 20 years ago I carved another thing whilst staying home after work saving money so I could get on the property ladder(I will have to find a pic of that one)...and then 10 years ago whilst recovering from an operation and having time on my hands I carved the one in the pic...not carved anything else ...Loved creating both pieces , I just wish I could make money out of it and do more.
  6. Magic Mushrooms have had amazing results under clinical trials, Magic-mushroom drug can treat severe depression, trial suggests WWW.BBC.CO.UK In a trial, 25mg of psilocybin put patients in a dreamlike state, making therapy more likely to succeed.
  7. Carved from pallet wood...just wanted to try carving and its the only wood I could get at the time.
  8. Cheers , not cooked on it yet but had a fire once just to test it.
  9. I have finally finished my Shed (or Hobbit House if you want loads of views on what ever), its taken at least 2 years what with me being a tight git and not wanting to spend anything, and a few slipped discs don`t help either . Stone all free from neighbours gardens and allotments, building sites ,my daughters school when they had an extension built ect The wood inside and out free from a donated flood damaged oak floor, timber frame 4/4 posts from heavy duty pallets found at local scrap yard, Door hinges and knocker found in a skip . The only cost you can see in the pics was the turf , door handle, perspecs for the windows and the half logs on the roof. Even got the flags delivered for £175 because the company messed up. Trellis thing is pallet wood.

Tea Tree Oil shampoo can be cheap and effective.
  11. other than a few daffs theres not much spring going on but i do feel it coming.
  12. My 4 year old nephew can’t even say please in Spanish I mean come on, that’s poor for 4 .
  13. Cash=`s freedom...even shopping for the Mrs at xmas with my joint account debit card she gets to see what I have spent and where and then can guess what I got her...and then you have the threats of power cuts not so many years ago which would make everyone skint until the powers back on if we just had cards....and as well, bigger than all of that... it was not that many years ago we had the riots and the Gov said after that we was only 2 days away from martial law. I think we should all stash some cash if we can, things are never stable enough to go cashless.
  14. Logs at 250 a Kg , 2.4m length of 3/2 weight according to B&Q website is 2.8Kg priced at £3.47....so for a tenner you can have 4Kg of logs or for a little over a tenner 8.4Kg of 3/2 .
  15. I have the same Oak flooring, it was given to me as flood damaged ..anyway,I have used about 60 square meters of the stuff in various projects over the last few years and have always found it a bastard to sand back to wood ,sand paper discs gets clogged up easily and its time consuming and expensive...I found the best most quickest and cheapest way is to use a Flap disc on an angle grinder ..it will be a rough job but its worth it as its hassle free and cheap as 1 disc does the lot.
  16. Woodnet web site used to have ads of people selling lorry loads of wood.
  17. Its prob about GDPR laws in that any business or organisation needs to let you know that they are gathering data on you so that you can have that data if need be...GDPR does not apply to members of the public who film and that is why no need to tell anyone that you are recording ect.
  18. Smashed Potatoes are my latest discovery in the world of cooking...At 47 years old I cant believe I have not heard of them before now, recently I found them on a utube vid and they are bang on. Boil some new potatoes for 10 mins, cut them in half first.Once boiled ,gently squash them with something like the bottom of a glass , brush on oil to tray and tops of spuds, salt and pepper and place on a baking tray at 200 for 45 mins and they are crispy roasty type of newbies...with a mushroom sauce they are amazing.
  19. Reading this thread I thought to myself there must be something on the market regarding heat exchangers and log burners ,so googled it and products at www.recoheat.co.uk seems like they could do the job ,from what little i read on there site it seems cheap and a possible solution?might be worth a click?
  20. Me and my brother once did a race day thing but was gutted that we were not allowed to drop the Lamborghini into 2nd gear around the small track, ruined it a bit.
  21. Try burning some dry pallet wood as this generates more heat than logs, you will have to load it up every 10 mins or so but it will tell you if the logs are the issue...or split your logs to smaller peices so they burn faster and hotter..I have a 4KW stove and it is great with smaller logs and pallet wood but add usual size logs from sellers and its crap, always have to split 1 or 2 more times. And make sure the stove has that baffle plate thing still as they do burn out and the previous owners (if you did not buy it) may not have replaced it.
  22. I read a news article 10+years ago about how Cats are turning gay and having issues to do with reproduction due to the plastic coating on the inside of tins of cat food.Tinned food was first invented for sailors, say no more. Paper coffee cups have the same plastic coating and so does many other takeaway packaging...seems to me that there are defo more gay people nowadays than ever before, is it partly due to microplastics?
  23. Cheers...I will have some photos somewhere, will have to look and get back to you...I think the whole thing cost less than £500 and 200 of that was for concrete and concrete blocks that you cannot see that holds the soil and stone walls up at the front.I was lucky enough to get all the timber for the frame free as i used old heavy duty pallets with 3/3 posts. The stone was free from a local building site, neigbours gardens ect. Internal clad walls ,door and windows all from a free flood damaged oak floor i was given. You can build a shed out of any shite if you can cover it with free stone and cheap turf its a cheap project.
