  1. Sky worms are the worst kind.
  2. He's looking in good form Alex, good to see.
  3. Morning all. Woke early too Stubby. Think it was the strange dreams about beautiful roses wilting in the presence of a mighty thistle, no idea what that's about. Have a good day folks.
  4. Thought it'd be Mick that picked up on that.
  5. Morning all. Lovely day here too, calm, frosty and lots of sunshine. Rugby day for me. A visit from the auld enemy and the Flower o Scotland really needs to bloom! Have a good day folks.
  6. Morning all. Off today, not much planned, but there's a definite feel it's a full breakfast at the cafe kind of day. Have a good one folks.
  7. Don't want to cause any resentment at all but been in a t-shirt most of the day here in sunny South Scotland!
  8. Does sound bloody painful, but lucky not to break anything (apart from ladders!). I've probably said before but my worst fall was from the 2nd rung of a set of those ladders, foot slipped through the rung and I went backwards landing on my head. Wasn't right for days, my mate still says I've never recovered consciousness. Hope you mend quick Maybe.
  9. Wet morning here, and windy, but turned out nice.
  10. Morning all. Second attempt at clearing a tree from a cauld on Gala Water this morning. Bit too deep and fast flowing to reach it last time, got half way to it but no closer, hopefully today. Have a good day folks.
  11. Leftover stovies are good for that, lovely fried up with eggs.
  12. Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble, I heartily disagree! Depends what you want from one as to how much use it is. When I got my dble cab l200 (as personal vehicle) it was the only thing that really met my needs. First thing I did was remove the back seats and build in their place a "dog palace" meaning I could take multiple dogs at a time for longer periods beside me in the cab, safely and in comfort. Any tools and fuel can go separately in the back, I can tow whatever, and go off road (which I do regularly). It even pulls the gang mowers at the paddock. Had it 8 or 9 yrs now, still fulfills the purpose perfectly and I've never cast a hex on anyone!
  13. He's our team leader now!
  14. Have to say I feel D- for execution is a tad punitive considering the baw exposure risk from lunging in such an exposed aerial position, when the crotch gave way he had seconds to avoid a custodial sentence!
  15. It's interesting I've noticed how dogs can be different depending on who they're with. Our little Poppes is so concerned about her routine when she's only with her mum, out before bed, out at the normal time in the morning, breakfast, she hassles her bang on time. When she's just with me she doesn't want out before bed and will sleep til lunchtime given the chance! No dog flap here though, only me being treated like the butler.
  16. You deserve it Stubby, all that cheering at the football takes it out a man! Does the dog accept you having a lie in or will you be in the bad books for the day?
  17. Morning all. Quiet this morning, is everyone still in bed with the crossword? Not much planned here, out for a fry up maybe? Probably shouldn't as I had one Friday lunch after an early finish, but... And then, maybe split the rest of the Ash I felled last weekend for my mate. Something very pleasing about the way Ash splits so nicely when it's green. Feels like a maybe sort of day. Have a good one folks.
  18. Lovely day, beautiful sky when I left for work and just got better. 12c, no wind and can feel the heat in the sun.
  19. Morning all. Friday, Dry, Mild. Have a good day folks!
  20. Morning all. I hear it's reductions today, lots of them, in the rain. Can you feel the joy? Have a good day folks.
