And there's the rub. A guy I used to work with got one (Blue Thunder, it featured on this thread at one time). Straight away he put a decent bar and chain on it. Then it wasn't too comfortable to use for any length of time so he swopped out the AV for Stihl ones, then chain brake, then something else and something else. In between all this it had a regular slot at the saw mechanic to be tuned up because it wouldn't hold. Last I heard it was going to get a new carb or whatever but the mechanic said no, don't bring it back again. It's an ornament now and can't have been much cheaper in the long run than an actual Stihl. Don't mean to be negative kram, all the best with yours!

Morning all. Rant away Bob, this is a safe place for us younger types that identify as grumpy old men! I'm grateful to have enjoyed two magnificent sleeps this weekend. Since the changes at work a lie in has quickly become the absolute benchmark of a good weekend, although 'wordle' seems to suffer as I tend to do better against the clock at 5am. Can't have it all. Just chores today, then a walk on the moor later. Still walking dogless 😔 Have a good one folks.
