  2. Guys it was a joke based on Trump's proclamation that... I'll stop the war in 24hrs of becoming the greatest leader the world will ever know. I'll just speak to Vlad, such a great guy, we'll make a deal and stop the war, easy, such an easy deal with a real great guy. Edit. I'm not entirely convinced by his claim as people in the know think Putin isn't so comfortable with Trump, he's too loose a cannon for Putin. Apparently Trump's unpredictability and habit of changing with the wind isn't easy for Putin to deal with. Also, there are far more than just 2 interested parties involved in decision making.
  3. It's a bit bittersweet stubby, she hasn't been herself lately and it was a relief to see her relax into her mum's lap, no more problems, but the hardest decision to make.

  5. We decided yesterday enough was enough for Cassie. She had a year longer than the 6mths she was expected to live but things were becoming a bit much for her, it was time. Woke up this morning for the first time in as long as I can remember without a dog in my life! Really hoped she'd see her 14th birthday in a week or so but not to be. Wee Poppes...

  9. Morning all. Not feeling the joy this morning, spent yesterday helping someone reduce a horrible beech hedge by 7m in height. I keep thinking "no" to these things but still hear myself saying "yes". Not just a numpty but a sore one! Bit pissed with the vet at the moment as well. Wee Poppes has had trouble breathing, sneezing blood, not eating and signs of infection. First vet appointment we were told what we knew already, could be nasal polyps or fistula from dental infection. Try antibiotics. Week later with no change it's try running bloods. Result of that was the vet awkwardly delivering the news that she shows markers for cancer. Not surprising is it, given that they diagnosed and operated on her for a malignant tumor 18 months ago and they've been prescribing meds to manage it ever since! She then suggested a blocked anal gland, I had to explain again that it was unlikely as they had removed them several years ago. So we'll try a steroid injection and see what happens. Β£300 to regurgitate what's already on her record as fact leaves me with no confidence at all in this woman! Rant over, very cathartic. Have a good one folks.
  10. Error on line 3, poor effort. Especially annoying as I spend my life behind one! Wordle 1,246 5/6 ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟨⬜🟨 🟨⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  14. Met a long time hero of mine today, felt so nervous approaching him but as you probably know, he's reputed to be very kind in real life just as he is in his films

  18. It has always confused me why it's an offence to allow an animal to suffer, they call it inhumane, but a human is legally obliged to suffer. I believe palliative care practioners say there is a lot that can be done for someone, but there comes a point they just can't 'make someone comfortable'. A way should be found where an individual has agency over their own suffering.

Don't get this at all, I'd be aggrieved. Mirror, signal, manoeuvre. To my mind if you pull across a lane into a moving vehicle because you've signal, manoeuvred and have no idea what's around your vehicle then you're at fault.
  24. At least when you embarrass yourself with wordle you've got a six pack to fall back on. For the rest of us mere mortals a wordle win is all we've got!
  25. Morning all. Mick's little adventure in the woods reminds me of a recent incident with a workmate who'll remain nameless. He's got a habit of offering someone a finger to pull when he's going to fart. One morning on site he offered me the finger, I took it firmly in both hands and dramatically pulled it, I kept pulling, I dragged him all over the garden. Maybe I put in a little too much effort but not long after he disappeared in one of the work trucks saying mysteriously "Doug grab your stuff out the truck, I have to go sort something out, don't know how long I'll be". The mystery was solved soon after when the WhatsApp notification for the team chat rippled through all our phones. As we all read it and crumbled into hysteria... Boss Doug pulled my finger v hard and I've shit myself, going to Tesco to get cleaned up and buy new boxers. Be quick as I can. Really sorry. This is the worst msg I've ever sent. Please don't tell the guys. Of course we all replied and he realised he hadn't messaged the boss privately but put it on the team chat, poor guy. Insult to injury he bought boxers that were too small and spent the rest of the day pulling them out his arse crack like a tart at a disco does with a thong. He's not offered me a finger to pull since! Have a good one folks.
