  2. Just heard on the news you've been dumped from the Stella ad campaign as well, not good. I'll find a link later but from memory, a spokesman said "he's not only embarrassed himself, but us and our brand too. Due to this revelation we have decided to end our long standing association with Mr Bolam, effective immediately". Sources close to Mr Bolam boasted he's already in talks with a wine manufacturer about promoting their product, which is thought to be seeking to attain a bad boy image.
  3. Rich, having carried that six pack everywhere you've gone for several decades I'm surprised you didn't do better with today's word
  4. You're very welcome Jake, although I'm not going to have it as easy cutting the hedge next year now you've destroyed my cutting platform, but I'll forgive you!
  5. Been smashing it for a few days now but got lucky to complete at all today. Wordle 1,205 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟨🟨⬜⬜ 🟨🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟨🟩⬜ ⬜🟩🟨🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  6. Morning all. Not slept in til this time for a while, it's nice, and the first coffee tastes good! Had a Thai takeaway last night for our good friends leaving meal. Some may remember the 2 Vizslas (and the chooks) I often look after, well they have sold it all and move to Normandy tomorrow. We've seen some good times together, and some difficult ones, we'll miss them. We do however have a lovely place in France to go for hols now so every cloud! Have a good one folks.
  7. Funny I heard on the radio a couple of weeks back the RAC complaining that the gov fuel tax freeze of two years earlier had still not been reflected in the pump price, lo and behold the pump prices start dropping! We are lied to and ripped off at every turn.

  9. Morning all. Been a busy week and Friday comes round quickly. A day of pavement crown lifting and a couple of removals ahead, and Friday morning traffic is always quieter so a clear run to the yard, happy days! Have a good one folks.

  13. No fooling you Poirot
  14. Thank goodness, I'll sleep tonight, had a horrible feeling you'd run off with the post woman!
  15. I got to help some cartoon animation of a Sam Spade impersonator investigate how Peter had fallen while changing a lightbulb in his office. Spoiler alert, it was because he used a chair with wheels instead of the available and loler certificated stepladder he'd had training for. And there was Jane who met an untimely demise at a nursing home because she tripped on the rumpled carpet on the stairs, it had been reported to management but not actioned. This morning I sectioned down an Ash using a 201 and didn't have an incident, the training did it's job!
  16. Good to hear Mick, hope Igor has a good day out. Hoping Stubbs is well too, he been quiet this weekend... Morning all. No idea what the plan is here, find out when I get to the yard. Weather looks decent all week though. Have a good one folks.

  20. Collectively it's been quite a dark day of wordling.
  21. All the best Igor, hope it doesn't affect his outlook on life.
  22. Not got a chopper, it's a bmx
  23. Don't need much excuse Les!
  24. Me too mark, we're just good like that.
  25. Morning all. Nice weather yesterday, bit cold but sunny and dry, lovely sunset. Wasn't as committed to the training yesterday as I could have been so more to do today. Let's face it, I don't want to. The prospect of sitting at a laptop learning what fire sign to follow to exit a second floor office seems ridiculous, occasionally looking out at a Scots Pine wondering if I'll ever do a dismantle inside an office building. Still, I now know how to carry and then put down a monitor in two actions to keep my back safe! Today I'll learn about WaH which is worrying considering how long I've worked at height already. If nothing else I've a breakfast to look forward to first. Have a good one folks.
