Monitored internal alarm system with off site recording ( which I can view ) with external sensors ( newly fitted) two Patterdales who are sharp as tacks a catapult with ball bearings ready and waiting. And a FAC air rifles just to keep the bastards on there toes. Like you say old bill are not worth a rub.

Don’t use gripples or buckle of any sort just Strain wire give it a little stretch strain again tie it up then using fencing pliers grip it tight then wrap it up 5/10 minutes! . Don’t really like gripples and other hardware expensive and just more stuff to faff about with.

It deflects the tension to the bottom of the strainer post.

I’m lucky as there’s a large patch not 50m from the workshop ! Also freezes well and is really good in a risotto with either crayfish or pigeon breast

That cup is 7” from memory but can be made any size to your spec ! I just shave the post if to big to fit over post I’ll dig out the paperwork tomorrow and put on here who supplied the set up ! Its an atlas Copco breaker which can be used either in breaker mode ie mounted on top of breaker which is good if really hard ground as you can pre drill ! or in post mode then mounted on side it’s certainly got some kick to it. The shepherd who rents the land on the park brought up his tractor / post knocker who make a compound and his big knocker wouldn’t drive posts in ! I Did it with the digger no problems he was so impressed he brought one to fit on his digger ( he’s got a 2000acre farm ) Robin

Love mine sits on a 5.7 ton digger though ! Will drive a 8” strainer no problem ! I put a chain hanging from the cradle gives me an eye for straightness and depth ( works pretty good ) A684EDE0-DB20-4285-950C-1235B24714FB.MOV
