  1. @JackP how far down are you now and is the whole job clay soil because if you had some good loose gravely free draining ground marshals do a drainage system for driveways ect without the need for planning permission and it goes in good draining soil just set your land drainage in the trench put a good 12" of pea gravel around it and then fill the trench up with good topsoil an the drainage goes into like a crate wrapped up underground and collects the shite and good water gets back into the ground don't think I've explained it properly but if you look on marshals website it gives a better description
  2. Is the ground really that compacted ? I've use them to rip up 4-5" concrete slabs and they've worked a treat rather you than me ? my other favourite way is a good old pick axe and think of someone you don't like you'll be suprise how much you can dig then
  3. Wouldve been so much quicker and access isn't even hard because of micro diggers can move so much more material and not have a achey elbow there a brilliant bit of kit
  4. Hi @shavey how much is the ME -246.4 an also just a price on a chainsaw for general grounds maintenance and the odd felling job?
  5. Absolutley agree with @spudulike theres a old man down the road from me old john they call him hes a retired environment agency engineer and anything he puts his hand to is mended and always done properly theres a lot of folk near me who wont even use there dealer as they are overpriced uneducated know it all in my opinion therss 2 or 3 who dont know there arse from there elbow so these "backstreet mechanics" will always be about to do the job when the dealers cant ?
  6. Personally I say get a career change and become a journalist because they talk complete and utter shit aswell? You asked my opinion ?
  7. There's some really good experience on here what has actually been lived and then there's the like of vesp says he's a gardener / wanna be arborist but actually should become a full time story teller because that much shit flows out of his mouth he needs a nappy strapped to his chin and a toilet roll holder on the left cheek really good thread till he poured his bullshit on here like
  8. Thank you very much spoke to a few different people who have had the operation and the majority of them said they cant lift there arms above there head so dont want to be in that situation love working far too much to not be able to would well that isnt an option to be fair

  20. Oh I get you now ? there doesn't seem to be any fairly tidy 4x4 for sale at a good price the cheap ones are knackered and the good ones are like 10-15k the new Isuzu dmax utility new are 20k so either way I'd need finance so don't know wether to pay the extra 5k and get the 3 year dealer warranty and also unabused? Mind boggles trying to think of what's best option and a 10x6 Ifor tipper new is 6k locally need to have a sit down look at competition mainly travellers and see if I can make it work or just say bugger it and just get a job working for a arborists company if I have any local
