  1. Excuse me all over the place. LOL!
  2. Are you sure its not some sort of woolly aphid
  3. Sorry I am in Sussex and have some big lumps of a fairly big beech that came down in the recent storms. A 14 tonne digger had trouble pulling it out onto flat ground so we had to cut the cord into 3 pieces, but its a pretty good size beech. That's all I have. But probably be quite good for milling I would have thought. If I had a mill I might have done it myself and used the planks. Hope you find something.
  4. LOL!, Lucky for me I don't work in Crowborough, however saying that it is generally pretty foggy and coming through Ashdown Forest every day can always get a little foggy. Nice village Rotherfield, great little cafe's there these days.
  5. Not much to be done in this weather, got the rain proofs on but for some reason can’t get too excited at working in Heavy rain for the 6th month in a row.
  6. Talking of MFs, I am slowly refurbing (with the help of a friend that knows what he’s doing) our MF 135, think it’s a late 60’s model brought back over from Italy about 15 year’s ago. Battery is fine on it though luckily
  7. Yes if there had been an explosion on the Hindenburg, then I doubt there would have been any survivors.
  8. what bar did you get in the end. I am currently looking at upgrading my 20" bar that I have on the 572xp. got a 24" and 28" for the saw but want a better 20" for smaller cuts.
  9. Crikey!. Well good luck on getting a new battery and hope that doesn't happen again. Probably there is some H&S regulation on touching a battery and what sort of protective gear one should be wearing while dealing with them. Maybe someone will invent a course on care of machine and car batteries some time.
  10. And what of the bridging terminals with a spanner? Did the spanner stay the same?
  11. Yep pretty much the other end of the country really.
  12. Does look a lot like Loquat leaves.
  13. Nice. Are you certain or is this an educated guess? I'm only asking because I would like to start collecting IDs on Oaks, it will come in handy.
  14. Sounds good, but too far for me. Could you send tea and biscuits anyway? I have a 20 year old greenmech chipper, just had it repaired again, chips like a beast. LOL!
  15. Nice log there mate. What you gonna make?
  16. Indeed. Yes find a lot of very old brackets usually.
  17. Might be a hybrid of some sort. Though my initial thought was potentially some sort of American oak but as there are over 500 species of oak. I would say ask the International Oak Society or someone really good with oaks. I've been looking for a good ident book on oaks for ages. Alas, nothing has appeared so far.
