  2. Currently supplying 2 large pubs with logs and also going to add more with people's houses. Currently split around 400 8-9inch rings in 3hrs with splitting axe. whats the next cost effective step up? Or just work faster!!? One pub has gone through 3T in just over a month and it's not even cold yet!! regards
  3. I prefer to get in. Get the job banged out and happy client. Bugger off home. you want to be onsite for 0800 so 0700 start is reasonable.
  4. Shame an amnbush can't be set at dealers for them. They wouldn't rob the hard working again

  10. My Yea but its a V8 jeep and sounds good doing it.?
  11. Cummins will pull 9tons easy if your license and local laws allow. navara issue was cheap untreated Spanish Steel....
  12. Old style road tax system. The cummins maxes out at 4500rpm. 21mpg on a run but depends on gearing. 05 5.9 straight 6 is 325bhp and 610lb/ft torque. Torque low downs wHat you want for towing. My 4.7 V8 car has 240bhp and 300lbft as a comparison. I get about 11mpg towing and 7mpg in town.
  13. Ram cummins 2500 5.9 24V 05 plate. 3500 is a better payload but a bit of a pig to park.
  14. Yea a place same yard as I'm based sends all his trucks to Africa. It's all jap stuff/ Hilux/l200/some land cruiser. They probably end up fitted with a Russian heavy machine gun in the bed.. but hey ho. Business is business lol
  15. Was doing a road side job today in Wimbledon and had a dark coloured '04 plate Land Rover Freelander stop in the middle of our traffic lights. Door opens and male jumps out, runs over to kerb and grabs our 2-6 while we working!! I gave it legs to grap him but they sped off using the kerb as I went for the door. Sadly no weapon close by to smash window or do a tyre. Atleast 2 males inside. Passenger was younger then driver. Keep 'em peeled guys.

Them Gen of DAFs weren't great for winching from memory. They would twist chassis....
  17. Hilux or a Dodge Ram if one cheap enough.
  18. Do Aussie army not run fast axles as fitted optiom?
  19. I run Event ML698s on my V8 jeep great off road and not to noisy on road. Pulled a loaded gregs lorry up a steep hill in snow. Pulls the TW230 around off road as well. Fuel consumption hasn't gone down too much. Even with straight pipe and K&N
  20. Cabstar or look at Isuzu F-series RWD.
  21. Wonder if a Dodge Ram 25/3500 5.9/ 6.7 cummins is available with double cab and tipping box? Certainly plenty of power
  22. He needs to do a course. It's illegal without. Also if ground crew couldn't get him down he'd have to know how to sort it himself. Can't always get a fire engine ladder to all places to effect possible rescue. Also insurance maybe be void if not qualified. If there's a accident then they would look for any reason not to pay out....
  23. It's worth getting a sniff test done to rule out blow by on head gasket. Heads seem a common issue on L200s top and bottom hose should get hot and be squishy but not collapse. The rad should get hot all over. When you flush it do not use tap water. Use de-ironised water as it's stops furring up of rad and pipes.
  24. Excuse my lack of knowledge. Is there more then one type?
