  3. There is a far easier way if she is kicking out a good 110 v supply believe me and cheap. Bought a tow along compressor/ generator a few years back and used a step up transformer like in the link below, genny was only a 110 v ex gas board

  6. Well setup your stacking system to allow for it. Not rocket science ? Opened up a pack of ash strings on monday which have been drying for 18 months inside. Re tightened about 8 months ago about not a blemish on a single 4.8 metre length string on a batch of 6. Moisture was at 12% on the meter

  8. When you get an a thumb nail play in the band just re band it. 200 metres of banding is peanuts to buy

  16. Evening Gents seems the forum is busier than normal at the moment. Just wondered how many of you out there try to maximise the use of all the trees/ timber that you cut down through out the year. I know a lot process it for firewood which is about the easiest option ? Quite a few members and more are looking into milling it so increases the wholesale value. How many if any mill/season and then run out skirting /architrave/window boards ect ect or maybe other types of projects (sheds) benches/gates
  17. Change fuel as mentioned and check fuel filter in the petrol tank. As you said not been used for a while. You can always drop a bit of fuel into the bore which normally fires it up
