  1. This one makes more sense than the scottish version (What a plonker) 🤣
  2. I use SBR its for my building work and always have it around. Seal all my end grain on logs or milled slabs and stops 90% of the spitting and cracking. Lash it on 3 coats Sika Bond SBR+ Waterproof Bonding Agent
  3. Only way to stop those rounds splitting is to seal them both sides with at least 2/3 coats of stuff and dry them slowly
  4. Would help if you posted what area your in
  5. Would it affect you much with a max cutting width of 700mm on those big slabs you do ?
  6. Been looking at the specs and vids on the tube. Like the fact you can use existing bars and chains
  7. Really thinking this route instead of a new bandsaw mill as have the 3 phase power and M7 5.4m already. Noise is the big factor with me as houses close by.
  8. Ever looked at these for your mill saul New ES5 Electric Saw, 4.6 kW SKU 6610-000-0005 £1,200.00 New ES8 Electric Saw, 8 kW SKU 6610-000-0015 £1,620.00
  9. Now just need my.timber delivery to come in! Chance will be a fine thing around here as been chasing around after larch for a couple of months. Can get 20+ ton loads but not able to take that volume due to access.
  10. Good tool if used a lot and i know roughy does. Quick if setup on a nice flat platform
  11. Funny enough i was just looking at those on the site. What size logs are you looking at milling (length) I have the M7 here which will do 5.4m and been toying with selling or hanging on to it.
  12. Looking at the 2k mark with the vat for the 5m version
  13. Put your eyes back in 🤣 Like em young to dont you eggs
  14. Forgot to mention selling ice creams 🤣
  15. We are talking london though which is higher yes ? Its the living wage which i am thinking is the norm in london but its not looking now. London Living Wage The London Living Wage is an hourly rate of pay, currently set at £10.85. It is calculated independently to reflect the high cost of living in the capital, giving a worker in London and their family enough to afford the essentials and to save.
  16. They only run a small market garden so £200 a month finance is not really suitable
  17. Think you mean under 25 which will explain it.
  18. Mark up real easy until they season dry 10% down
  19. Not sure how big an area it covers but minimum wage for london is £10.75 which is 21k plus so how could they start at 18k or is it outside the ring fenced bubble so to speak.
  20. I always put london 6/8K above the uk average ? north/wales/scotland
  21. That is what mage me chuckle when it was posted. Some people has no clue how big a pile of 300+ ton of waste is and think its weeks work for 2 men chipping that lot without the soil and green waste.
  22. Just a general question. Any of you guys who climb in your day to day role as tree surgeons undertake it as a hobby in another capacity (rock climbing) Me and my mate got into abseiling when we were in college but never rope climbed myself.
  23. Its not something as a family we do. Fake one looks the part and no mess. Got asked to cut down one that was planted outside many years ago and over 50 feet tall now 😬
  24. What is the cost of a christmas tree to mr jones these days. Not got a clue £20-30 mark ?
  25. Interesting read on a boxing day and only comment that this applies in construction as well (subbies)
