  1. I have done before now on occasion, but usually for bedding my flags on no, just feb/plasticiser, put SBR in my mortar mix for block work though cos they whap moisture out of the mortar that quick sometimes that they sometimes dont get hold as good as i’d like.
  2. I use SBR in my mixes for everything, flagging, block work etc, apart from pointing up as its adhesion is so good that if you get it on the face of your flags or faced brickwork its a twunt to get off if it gets chance to dry [emoji35]
  3. One part of my outside area i did last year, 40 to dust whackered, then full bed of mortar, flags laid, then pointed up with sika dark grey brush in.
  4. I’m not a fan of laying on a dry bed as i’ve known it ti wash out sometimes underneath and cause the flags to rock in time, but thats just me personally. Plenty have done it with no issues of course, guess a lot depends on your prep work before finally laying.
  5. Always lay on a full bed, spots can cause staining then you end up with a patio looking like a dice once weathered. I personally mix 3 - 1 ((each to their own though) and use plasticiser so they key. Pointing up is again your choice, standard mortar or alot use the modern sweep in stuff or resin based pointing now. Example of spot staining below

  7. Avoid ebay and buy from a dealer direct, as in go in to the shop, or order off a dealer online, cheaper than ebay too. L&S Engineers are good for all parts in general regards saws.

  9. We had VPG systems (Bradford company) fitted to some of our fleet at work so we could do split deliveries, pretty accurate and simple install, never had any issues really, seemed reliable.

  14. When i started out as a wee nipper apprentice and i was keen as mustard to get stuck in, i used to be black as aces from every job, and one day i came out from under a wagon from down the pit after doing a clutch and my face was covered and i had a long piece of rag trailing behind me, one of the lads said i looked like a rat that had just crawled out of a bog, and it just stuck, so was called Ratty, Bograt, and as time went on and i got older they upgraded me to Ratman. Bunch of kunks eh!!! ??? so sorry Sam, nothing to exciting about it!

  17. Your transit will probably be on “can” wiring, not 100% sure, other guys on here may be able to advise better. If so it may need programming as like i say LED’s take very little voltage to operate, it could also be that they require some load cells fitting to up the resistance in the circuits so the ecu on your transit can recognise it. I’d get back on to timberwolf and ask some questions at their end regards compatibility then look at your transit next.
  18. What year is your transit? Presumably you’ve towed/tow regular with it, could be a compatibility issue depending on age. LED’s take very low voltage to work, could be picking up off a bad earth/no earth, or the chipper could be wired up wrong. New doesn’t always mean its right.
  19. Here i am Sam with my little pal on a weekend break at Ingleton [emoji16]
