  1. " Wacker Neuson " excavators well worth a look
  2. " Wacker Neuson " excavators are well worth a look, 36 months warranty & a good spec to go with it Machines range from 1 ton - 15 ton & everything in between
  3. Griffiths Civil Engineering group in Abergaveny sold out to " Tarmac " last Wednesday, I have a good friend who advises a top Uk builders merchant group & he is saying the construction / Housing market in the population centres might be starting to tip towards un-settled times, The Carillion thing will cause a massive head ache for someone, Support & logistics work on the HS2 project is well under way , one of our customers was working on Storage compounds for the project 14 months ago & he was working for Carillion " Who will build HS2 ?
  4. This is our log store, lost count on how many crates we have now , there is a " near mint " Salop 6 ton timber grain trailer somewhere among the crates filled with split Oak about 4 years ago. There are crates of hawthorn, ash, pine, oak, chestnut, laurel, willow, eucalyptus & mixed hedgerow sort of stuff, the store was started 8 or 9 years ago & all split with a vertical home built splitter with 4 way wedge.
  5. Going back to mini loaders, We may have an old Opico M10 we sold new a few years ago coming back as a trade in against an new MultiOne if any one is looking for a stand on loader please get in touch.
  6. " Never answering the phone is very bad " If they won't talk to you to sell the machine then I don't think there is any chance of any kind of back up service for this product, If you go right back through looking at all the thread posts you will find other machines the same it looks like the machine is built by a 3rd party, maybe Chinese.
  7. Looks like a death trap, if it turns over or something comes out over the back of the bucket it could be the end of you, ( you are penning yourself into the machine, ) We had done some evaluating on request & with the HSE on a national level about eight years ago with small end compact loaders, they would have thrown the book at this because of the HSE implications , If you cant step off a machine you need seat belt, roll bar ect, To me this looks like a death trap. ( it will be OK until something serious happens )
  8. This type of loader is designed for strait lifting, when used on heavy loads the oscillation in the centre joint makes the machine very unstable when turning, would definitely be better in a concrete yard application.
  9. " Using a 12 ton lorry as a battering ram also works " , surprising how far a wagon can travel's with no back axle , This guy must of finished up real brown trousers right out side our yard gate earlier today.
  10. How do you get rid of an old 6ft oak stump ?
  11. May be I'm noticing more things as I get older , but certainly look strange for this time of year,
  12. Yep, I would say you have enough weight there " Good load "
  13. Just noticed a daf bursting through the ground, so I checked the hedge & we have green buds Bit early for spring yet
  14. We stretched a new Wacker 15 ton excavator blade a couple of weeks ago & added 5" each side so we could fit 800mm steel tracks to allow the machine to work on boggy ground. Its not every day we are doing work like this but it is rewarding in a strange sort of way when we do
  15. Lets see what people repair of make in their spare time,
  16. Started welding when I was 12 years old with the farm stick welder & remember having ark eye ton's of times, Spent Christmas day repairing a door on a tractor that has been ear marked for restoration, My advise is do lots of practice on scrap, have a look for some on-line guidance ( you tube is sometimes help full ) , You have ark / stick, mig , gas + tig welding & they are all different styles. tractordoor.zip tractordoor (1).zip
  17. Nice looking tractor , Do here up & pop her in the barn, things like this will only get worth more as the years pass, what model is it & is it 4wd ?
  18. That will be 5 years old in a week,
  19. Do you really need a box rotator ? 1 - Pick the ibc up with pallet forks wrap a 5000kg strap around the crate & pallet fork back so the ibc wont slide off when you tip the forks ( tip the ibc forward ) this will get 50% of the timber out without the crate sliding off the forks & then man handle what is left in the box. 2 - take an ibc crate chop the front side out wrap a couple of straps right around the crate to hold it together, fill it with fire wood the straps should act as a guide to hold sticks in the crate, when your ready to empty the crate repeat step number 1, this may save the expense of a new tractor & loader to lift a ton 3 - I bet a black-smith could make a dead light attachment to tip a box under gravity
