  1. It’s only green spruce 5.4kw
  2. Never had one go felling but I figured 3 hours of milling puts a lot of stress thru chain. I’m gonna stop filing at 10 deg from horizontal Arbortec bar
  3. What are the commonest reasons for this? Had 2 go in a few weeks on same bar ( which is only 6 months old and looks fine) milling with MS 661

  14. Yep, one day feeding spruce brash into a small chipper. Should have changed gloves
  15. Chippers should come with a warning not to use chainsaw gloves disposing spruce

    Oaks dying

    Planted a dozen acorns last autumn. Followed instructions off web, put them in fridge. 100% sprouted. Kept on cool windowsill then put on top of raised beds still in pots when 4 inches tall. Leaves now going grey. Are they out of sync with season
