Never had one go felling but I figured 3 hours of milling puts a lot of stress thru chain. I’m gonna stop filing at 10 deg from horizontal Arbortec bar

What are the commonest reasons for this? Had 2 go in a few weeks on same bar ( which is only 6 months old and looks fine) milling with MS 661

Yep, one day feeding spruce brash into a small chipper. Should have changed gloves

Chippers should come with a warning not to use chainsaw gloves disposing spruce

Bloody hell I’ve just discovered it in my wood. There will be nowt but sycamores left then as I’m felling the spruce, pine and larch. Anyone know what percentage survive? I’ve been reading up on it but no details on F.C. site

Yeah. What’s new? If you are gonna charge for taking business waste don’t be surprised when it is dumped. Off topic but a small pot hole was very quickly filled next to a local councillors garage. Can’t stand the bureaucracy. America has that right at least

If you are desperate forty quid climbing harness or if really desperate make a chest harness and waist harness from webbing. Tbh I think they would be false economy and just save up for a proper one

Planted a dozen acorns last autumn. Followed instructions off web, put them in fridge. 100% sprouted. Kept on cool windowsill then put on top of raised beds still in pots when 4 inches tall. Leaves now going grey. Are they out of sync with season
