back from QT, great time, didn't get my Qs asked, 200/6 odds. JRM got the biggest cheer during the introductions, amazing as Bishop auckland is a deprived area. he is surely going to be PM one day soon. i was the only that laughed at one of his comments which he noted so at the very least you will hear me laugh?

A few weeks ago one employee was moaning about maternity pay and justified it by saying the business is flush cos one of my partners had just bought a new car. He actually downsized to a second hand mini due to downturn in profits!

Buy cheap buy twice. I’d only buy second hand if you know the saw inside out -
but then you need a good manager. i have had 4 in 25 yrs, only one was great, one off on sick all the effing time with stress and the other two coasting, so i do back pedal a little, it's not just the younger generation unfortunately. (mind the great manager was someone i took on aged 50. he said he would only stay for 5 years and fank thuck he stayed 10)

I don’t think there is mate. As galling as it is I think you just have to accept it and get on. Imho it is a generational/societal problem. I’m a boss of a different type of business but the same issues. When I started 30 yrs ago NO ONE went on sick, all put total, non complaining effort in and you were there to stay. Why do you think Eastern Europeans with poor English get a job here and are actively sort after by employers? Their work ethic. I’m currently looking to sack several staff because of their repeat short term absences. Life is too short mate

no, the shed survived thanks to my hose action.it is behind the brick wall. the fence view is from farmers field. the russian vine in the shed photo has now mostly gone. yes barbed wire. you have a dirty mind, i was in my y fronts on the garden shed roof dousing the flames with the garden HOSE. it was 3am. thanks for concern

I'm lucky if my stream clears my trousers mate. hopefully the fire destroyed the Russian vine I planted 20 yrs ago which has taken over the hedgerow and several trees

At my age you go for a pee 3-4 times a night. Got up at 3 this am for a pee, saw 20ft flames coming from the direction my new lawnmower shed. Shouted my son out of bed etc etc, climbed onto the shed roof (made from 1”thick self milled spruce [emoji6]) with my garden hose in my y fronts. Firemen came and put it out. Verdict? Compost heap spontaneously combusted. Heard of it with wet canvas and hay stacks but compost heaps??? Eggs, do you mind telling me where you were at 3am this morning?[emoji1345]♂️
