So peace in Gaza has lasted about hours.

Never thought of bird cherry - that might go in the mix near the road side with silver birch, that would work with sycamore further from the road. Tried a few types of apples a few years ago till I disturbed a very fat looking deer sleeping under its supper, however there is a sea of brambles for protection now.

Small digression, I got ID on teaspoons once, wouldn't set any store with over 18s policies. (cashier started laughing, asked for ID - I am well past 25 by now - laughed more when she saw my face as she said "It is for these")

This topic is as good as any, was passing through looking for recommendations what to replace ash trees with, got about 10 to 12 dead / nearly dead in the wood and the other half suffering - thoughts are this winter to clear the brambles and remove the dead ones, to replace them with something else one for one, not sure what yet. Remove and replace the others as and when, gives a more phased removal and replanting. Self seeded ash, hawthorn and holly thrive in the wood, was thinking to stay away from ash for a few years, the rest of the wood is a mix of pines. Silver birch grows well just down the road. First thought is a birch as a replacement. This part of the wood is screening to the neighbours, quicker growing rather than slower growing would work. What does anyone else think?

fingers crosses (whatever fingers left) that these will be poor enough that used once and thrown away (I have a 50-50 success rate with Lidle and Aldi tools, some great, others bin fodder). Think I'll stick to secateurs.

This was his second annual check up this year, very much emphasising his heart... but smoke and mirrors... not a lot else. Advanced imaging sounds to me like MRI scanning - not something an average annual check on an 80 years old would do, unless they are looking for something. As for Covid... didn't his health secretary cancel the Covid programmes in the US, not necessary, yet his boss is having the shots...

Suspect "not long" is the answer. Looks like Israel are also withdrawing to about half the territory - so quite a land grab there, even with future talks I suspect they will have more land than they started with. Suspect look to the future and how it can all be rebuilt so that the innocents can live there again

and step 5 will be to suspend the 2028 elections due to the mass unrests he has caused... Not sure Trump has the brains to think all this through, dementia type behaviours makes rational thought tricky I think.

Not worth its own post, but spent yesterday making up half dozen of these for the local community woodland groups kids - scrap pallets, 3 left over bolts and a handful of screws. Folding saw horses so the kids keep their fingers protected from the saw blades a little.

If you follow this forum, all reported acts of terrorism, all reported crimes are from a very narrow demographic, and are pretty much all reported by JohnsonD. Have to question why this bias is if it isn't one based on a racist view of the world, when in reality all races and religions have murderers and arseholes.. just we never get to read about them on this arb forum.

If you compare to say construction or farming, not so bad, but if you were to compare to the population as a whole it is on the worse side. However in all men tend to try to continue on regardless, until they snap, again going back to the OPs point, never let yourself get to that point, physically or mentally. One thing on the mental health side, it is OK to ask for help.

Feckwhit, a serious topic and you are lowering it all to have a personal dig. Mens health is important, it is often ignored "will just carry on, nothing wrong" attitude until you end up in a hospital bed... which is the point the OP was making. If you are unable to 'read the room' and understand then do not comment.
