  1. I see this bothered you at 3 in the morning to keep you from your sleep, enough to post some more hundred page long posts. You show a distinct lack of understanding of my earlier post. Suggest you read carefully, take a deep breath and then stop trying to attack at every opportunity. You might lead a happier life full of daisies and flowers instead of rage and hatred.
  2. Depends on the customer, they might not know any appropriate qualifications - just know that someone (insurers...) have asked for them to be suitably qualified with risk assessments... might draw a blank if you ask the question... I'd be tempted to play off the experience outweighs paper qualifications and offer up what you might have - basic chainsaw tickets, whatever you have that might be (a bit) related to milling and working with timber.
  3. Had to google that, yes living nettles like good soil - but are great to add nitrogen to the soil if used as a compost. Am getting confused with my age, just know that if I let them grow in the wood then mow them back once or twice a year they are good to improve the soil but was forgetting why
  4. ..Ohh, this one could run for a while!.. Nothing we like better than a tricky issue Personally, abortion overall comes down to the individual and justifying it to themselves internally. If they are happy then so be it. However I think there is a time when the foetus is viable to live on it's own given suitable support - 39 weeks 'abortion' and the baby dies is probably not so good in my morals, 4 weeks and a foetus no biggie. Question might be how would you police a cut off date without a doctors training and knowledge and for this, ordering pills through the post is not a good idea.
  5. Noting well that at the time more Tory MPS voted to invade Iraq than Labour MPs did.
  6. Nettles add nitrates to deficient soils (if I remember right) and are handy if he can leave them in place - call it a herb patch since you can also eat them (a bit like spinach). For the bamboo I'd chop it all back, dig out as many roots as you can and then make sure you mow the patch regularly - check for any regrowth and remove as soon as you can. Mowing the area regularly from early spring can cut back any regrowth - each time you do it looses some energy reserves for new growth and eventually dies away - though it might take longer than with weed killer / poison the lawn will be better for any kids to play on without that. For the nettles, the same, just keep mowing the area
  7. Probably won't be crying over that Mark, I never saw the need to get to Birmingham any quicker. Settle in and enjoy the journey instead.
  8. US hosting the world cup, Trumpy has made the US a place where tourists are not wanting to go to as much. Ticket sales have plummeted - this weeks offer is 5 for $20 for tickets that were £150+ a couple of weeks ago. Need to get biggly big crowds in! Obviously selling tickets is not Trumps remit but his politics are making the US a less attractive place for a visitor. Also to encourage the visitors, the immigration people will be patrolling to check for valid ID... for 'foreigners' - which makes me wonder, how will they distinguish between a 'foreigner' and a US citizen? I'd be assuming from appearance only? Skin colour a bit too Mexican? Lets do a quick check. Skin colour nice and white, probably OK, you shall pass.
  9. Generally if it is a regular work on school grounds then you need to get checked out. I'd be assuming that that the school staff are not going to be directly supervising you, leaving you to get on with it. If it is emergency work then not sure, and not so sure if it is a one off survey. Out of term time where there is no contact with the pupils you should be OK (but remembering there could be holiday clubs using the full school grounds). You should be able to do a single DBS to cover a county rather than for each individual school (however private schools will generally want 1 each for regular work). That's the rule of thumb I would go with, however the rules for each area might be different.
  10. Yup, because whatever happens in Afghanistan is going to affect global trade and politics greatly isn't it. Where the US has a massive influence worldwide, their president is a valid concern and worth noting his actions since they will filter through world trade and politics to influence us all it is not so with Afghanistan. Now are you going to keep up with trying to 'get one over' every other member of the forum or perhaps join in the discussion, perhaps a well reasoned argument why what this thread is saying is not correct?
  11. No, the chassis can act as an earth whether it is galvanised or not, but if the connection to the chassis is bad that might cause problems - a plain steel bolt rusting or loosening, bad wire connection and so on. If so that should be a quick, simple cheap fix (almost "insert new bolt" level of fix).
  12. Reading this I would have gone with dodgy earth connection, often power to the fittings and a local earth onto the body which is then earthed to the battery later.. not sure if that would still be the case with a galvanised body? Glad it passed, auto electrician should find it pretty quick.. but let us know what the issue is
  13. Anyway, just having a bite to eat and came across a Trump quote regarding another rapist / sex offender (alleged) (P Diddy) "I haven’t spoken to him in years. He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up, from what I read... You know, it’s different. You become a much different person when you run for politics, and you do what’s right." 'you do what's right' is a kind of admittance that before he was wanting to run for politics he was doing what isn't right... and given the company he was keeping 'isn't right' doesn't sound at all wholesome. Just putting it up there as I pass. Now back to his rip-roaring successes, this weeks amazing thing, a popular military parade showing off the US armed might... and WW2 talks, which will scare Putin.
  14. The press have done some counting, 'Millions' protesting compared to a few thousands who watched his birthday vanity parade. Millions across US turn out for ‘No Kings’ protests against Donald Trump UK.YAHOO.COM Protesters demonstrate at about 2,000 sites nationwide on day US president holds military parade in Washington It would make me sad if it wasn't so funny.
  15. So instead of spewing insults at the OP for daring to live in the US and seeking out knowledgeable professionals to give a bit of advice, why not help them out?
  16. Back to the topic briefly.... though of course there will be insults and upset faces shortly... I see Trumps big parade wasn't that big after all, looking at the politicians behind him a lot appeared quite bored. I think that the crowds got wind of that too, sparse with empty seats all over the place - you'd see bigger crowds in London watching the marathon for example, for a man (?), Trump, who sets out success by the size of crowd who watches him, this must hurt. Simultaneous "Not Kings" protests had maybe 10 times the number of participants.
  17. But that would do nothing to help The Ukraine of course, I don't think they have a current issue of immigration into the country. I still reckon it would be far more useful for them to go after Russian drones
  18. Thats what you said though, you'd be quite happy for the same rules to apply to the UK: No there would be fook all bricks being thrown.
  19. Probably lost, should have turned left at Kyiv and followed the H07 ? I'd blame the kids playing Game of Thrones too much and not knowing left and right IRL, still it is a start, get them from playstation and onto real killer drones, teach the Russians a lesson
  20. So this fella should be shot then? Southport rioter who hit police officer with brick jailed WWW.BBC.CO.UK Nicholas Mullen was seen on CCTV throwing bricks towards a line of officers.
  21. They would be fecking useless against Russian drones and anti-aircraft guns. Reckon Stubby had it right first time, think it needs to be drones.
  22. but while I am on about what he is, failure as well, or perhaps a blagger Ukraine war... many 24 hours later, still ongoing Gaza... all hell hasn't been let loose and there are still hostages... and looks like the violence in the middle east is escalating Tariffs.. China and US agree a trade deal.. .which is to do exactly as they were doing before liberation day Greenland.. still Danish sovereignty,. and Vance hasn't been near the place for months Canada... the same Tariffs again... are still being paused despite them being big and beautiful Legislation... none of his bills have passed through congress Protests against his deportations leading him to U turn next week on farm workers who can stay ... and an over reaction in LA because he doesn't like the governors there Bank interest rates still high because of financial uncertainty caused by tariffs...he has threatened to step in and force changes Mexico wall... still unbuilt and the mexicans are still not paying for it Personally, still going through the courts on a few cases where he was found to have been wrong (notably with Jean Caroll but others) His coin is still doing well, off the back of his presidency flogged it for billions while those who invested, the ordinary people, lost billions Fell out with his bestie over allegations on his friendship with Epstein Big Beautiful Bill... analysis says it is going to cost more in taxes... affecting his core voters Success for his second first half year
  23. and I note here that Trump is still a rapist, his latest appeal that he isn't has been blocked: Appeals court rejects Trump's bid to challenge $5 million E. Jean Carroll judgment UK.YAHOO.COM A federal appeals court on Friday declined to rehear President Trump's challenge to a $5 million civil judgment after a jury found him liable in 2023 for the battery and defamation of the...
  24. Just for my info, is there a difference if a householder burns treated timber in the garden? I am not sure, but plenty of people do
  25. Mass riots, it has taken nearly a week but the US marines finally did something. 1 peaceful arrest. US Marines make first detention in LA as more protests expected UK.YAHOO.COM LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -U.S. Marines deployed to Los Angeles made their first detention of a civilian on Friday, part of a rare use of military force to support domestic police and coming... ...but nearly as many as the total number arrested in LA by last Monday have just been arrested outside the Capitol... all done by local law enforcement and without the national guard or marines: Police arrest roughly 60 veterans and military family members protesting outside US Capitol after group crosses police line UK.YAHOO.COM A group of roughly 60 individuals were arrested outside the US Capitol on Friday after breaching a police line of bike racks and moving toward steps leading to the Capitol Rotunda...
