  1. From the telegraph, post the link, stand back and watch some heads explode in confusion of what to think: Trump to run Gaza with Blair UK.YAHOO.COM Donald Trump will run Gaza with the assistance of Sir Tony Blair as part of the US president’s 20-point plan for “eternal peace in the Middle East”.

Fewer squirrels here at the moment but there were more babies earlier in the year than usual... no longer here (not guilty by the way). We did have one for dinner once - it was in the supermarket on holiday and we thought why not, next to pigeon (had that too) - not my taste for either though. Apples - quite a glut this year for me, I am expecting a reduced crop next year in the natural order of things so this winter will be a heavy pruning year.
  3. and in the real world: 1st page of the interent results suggest 2025 US GDP will rise by about 1.8%, Q2 - the one from your Linked in suggests just over 3% but metched by a drop in GDP in Q1.... Just thought a fuller picture might be better. 5. Quick, proper question, in the UK which verifiable ID is mandated? A passport: My choice to have one or not A drivers license: My choice to have one or not, likewise my choice to upgrade to a photo card NI Card: Not a form of ID in the sense being talked about - one NI Card can be used by multiple people Travel pass (bus, train...): My choice to have one or not Smart phone: My choice to have one or not ... I could go on. None of the above are mandated, in the forum we might or might not all have one or more of the above.
  6. I might be wrong, but I am guessing that you won't get an answer or an opinion. Just "It is better"... but no concepts as to how it is better. Certainly I am with you, there are a lot of negatives happening in the US and worldwide from his financial power grab - errr presidency.
  7. This is exactly what I was on about. A 40+ year old whisking a school girl away to a private island... She might understand what is expected of her, Epstein certainly had intentions and yet here you are, blaming the victim, the perpetrator is never mentioned is he? The school girls didn't approach Epstein - he or Maxwell sought them out. The girls were approached. They didn't instigate their rapes. Remember here, Epsteins victims were as young as 11. But that is where we are, blame the victim. Her fault? Apologist for a pedo.
  8. As far as I can tell here the objections are that they are something we don't have, something new. No practical downsides mentioned yet. In France (closest example) and many other place you don't need to carry them - much the same that you don't need to carry a drives license to drive a car, but if you need to prove who you are you can grab the card and prove it. Digital just means, like the drivers licenses the authorities will have a database they can refer to. End of paper bills and the old "2 forms of ID, a recent utility bill" is tricker - so some digital system will be needed I think, so why not. Anyway, waiting for practical downsides apart from not liking anything new.
  9. For reference, my accusation against GarethM are in his words, defending the known Pedo, Epstein. Inexcusable to try to find reasoning for what he did to children.
  10. Ahh, GarethM, glad you are here, apologist for the pedos. When talking about Epstein raping 11, 12, and 13 years olds, just to remind the world of your opinions: "Grow up, you damn well know the difference between underage sex with a child and physical rape"; also GarethM thinking that having sex with a child is different to raping them. Apologist for the paedophiles.
  11. Probably not a bad thing, the Conservatives ditched the idea but I don't see any real issues, if you consider that most of us have a passport, a driving license, are on the electoral role, have a phone that logs our location 24 hours a day, our earnings are known, all benefits we get are in the system, hospital and medical records, mortgages and loans, and of course the social media that we fill up often with drivel. It isn't as is any of us are living under the radar as it might be. So having another card, no big issue... Unless you arn't entitled to use the UK and its systems then it might be an issue. We are all old men generally, certainly grumpy enough to be, with even older parents... who are generally giving up their driving and foreign holidays - a real benefit to them to have some sort of ID. On the flip side, generally not old enough to have ditched any kids and perhaps remember them setting off in life, no drivers licenses and not always a passport, again a real benefit to the young.

  13. If it has to be Stihl or Husqvarna - my little MS182 hasn't let me down yet, though I tend to go for a battery saw instead for the amount of use that one gets. If I was going for a small petrol saw again I would be looking at the 200 series though just for the slight increase in power.
  14. Name one? Name one of his family, cronies, educational institutions? Name what? I'll assume you mean the sources: MSNBC The Independant BBC Forbes New York Times Huff Post.... I could go on.
  15. Ahh, the appologist for the pedos is chipping in. So glad you added that, brings so much to the discussion.
  16. Do you have a budget in mind? Will battery work or petrol only?
  17. That is all it is, or you can leave a willow stem in water and it will have the same effect for cuttings that grow from water
  18. Linkedin: I see where you come from, but no. Not every conversation revolves around the rubbish you post on here.
  19. .. myth that his name was Rodger, but correct - Tom.
  20. There is more than one article out there with the same story - different parent news sources which adds credibility to the story. If the article was an opinion piece on say, Linkedin I would also be saying 'Bless', but more than 1 credible source for this one.
  21. Read the article, 50k bribe accepted.
  22. ... maybe but the milder cases don't get financial support - got to prove you need the financial support which is the more severe cases and they'd be diagnosed before so would get the support regardless.
  23. True, I would find it hard to agree with any medical advice from RFK... but that is based a bit on reading the medical advice he does give. Most of Trumps team do have competence - but not him. (likewise with Trump, lets inject bleach to cure covid...) Recent increases in autism are mostly due to better diagnosis and a lowering of the limits when you get a diagnosis. In reality we are all on the spectrum just the line that is drawn for a diagnosis is above where most of us are. In the UK, at least having an autism diagnosis just means you have enough to need some extra help and consideration (for example in school and exams). Doesn't ruin a life, doesn't end the world, perhaps doesn't need the US president and his sidekick focussing on a non life threatening issue as much as they have done.
  24. Entrapment is one thing but it takes the other party to accept the bribe... having some integrity he would have said no, that is a bribe. He didn't.
  25. Well, here is a picture of health, hoping I look tha good when I am 80.... Lights being on but no one is home - official photos from meeting the King
